For whoever is going to help with the teen party they said they can
open up a little earlier if we want (6:00 on). I just have to let them
know what time is best for us. She's going to get me a list of an
estimated number of kids, ages, etc. so we can plan fun activities

They have a kitchen, but not an oven. She
liked the idea of having the kids make some decorations, etc. They
are advertising it, calling it a Holiday party, etc. so let's start tossing
ideas around...
I ordered some basics from Oriental Trading-some little prizes,
inflatable microphones, bears for the little kids that may show up,
some holiday beading stuff, etc. I also have a large doodle roll which
we can do a holiday graffitti thing. I can burn some CDs with popular
dance music (although my idea of what might be fun is probably stuff
teens don't even know

) Need some serious help from Cassie,
Kylie, and our other Tayter tots on this one!! Also would love ideas
from teens on what projects they might enjoy...
Once we sell some ornaments we'll have a little budget to work with
so we can pick up the snacks, food, etc. If people aren't coming, but
want to contribute or donate to the project just PM me (Kimberly
already did-thanks!

) I think we may be doing more for the
shelter as opposed to individual kids. They are homeless, so she
said gifts etc. aren't that practical as they have nowhere to keep them.

If we buy hats, gloves, etc. that is very helpful-stuff they can use at
the shelter, she suggested gift cards to Walmart for basics, that type
of thing. They can buy what's appropriate for the kids that are there
at the time. Everyone check their dollar stores for deals
