Grimsby, You could probably do the shelter party with us Friday
night and just leave early Sat. a.m. Would be a long day, but it's
going to be fun!!
Yeah, Lisa's in!!

Grimsby the concert is Shemiaka Copeland she's a powerhouse
blues singer.
OH, I never heard of her until I saw her name on a thread on here by AH. Haven't read the thread because I had not heard of her....think I'll read the thread in a little while.....
Would you believe I'm going to the grocery store?! Apparently there is no food here fit for the King

(what was that ad...something "fit for a King")
Sorry I will miss the party & concert - sounds like a lot of fun.
You know I'm there guys...who's booking the room? I won't be able to get there until about 6 though...
Lisa, I'm glad you can go. We'll talk later this week. Am going to go jump in the shower - - Bob is playing at Slopes tonight so I am going to be a happy camper. He is so good, wish I could get him to make me a CD so you guys could hear him. Maybe I'll sneak the camera in tonight - if he doesn't see it it won't make him nervous - - problem is I sit at his table so
I called the Navigator Inn-they do have a room available with 2
queen size beds and a pull out sofa for $105. Could do 5 adults.
Breakfast is included in room rate, and their lounge is open until
around midnight. How many are in for this one?
Liz,
The Navigator has a horrible reputation for being dirty and in poor repair,
When I reserved my ticket for the concert I mentioned both the Tradewinds and The Navigator as places that seemed to be within walking distance. I knew I would only stay at the navigator as a last resort but was curious to see what she would say. It's always possible that things change. She may it very clear in a diplomatic way that they Never recomended their out of town clients stay at the Navigator - Never was repeated several times.
I thought Margaux had found a similar deal at the Tradewinds which I know is clean - - a little old and shabby but being renovated and clean.
I'll put this real bluntly - from the stories I've heard from people with personal esperiences - -
I flat out won't stay at the Navigator.
Sorry but filthy is a word I've heard too often in connection with that place.
This is Margaux's post upthread
The $99 suites here with 2 queens and a couch look good

I'll discuss it with David this weekend, to make sure we don't have any conflicts, and that he can live without me for a night or so.
Make sure that the hotel reservations can cancel if the weather doesn't cooperate.
OH, I never heard of her until I saw her name on a thread on here by AH. Haven't read the thread because I had not heard of her....think I'll read the thread in a little while.....
That's always a great reason To read a thread about a new artist
Just sayin' . . . . . . . .
If Linda got such a strong bad recommendation on the Navigator, I say let's check if the suite is available at the Trade Winds.. and you know WE don't need a lounge to have a good time

I, too, vote for Tradewinds. We can create our own lounge...lord knows we'll probably have enough alcohol leftover from the Christmas party.

I'm fine with that too. I think I remembered Margaux saying two
beds and a couch and saw that Navigator had that and figured that
was the one...Tradewinds sounds great and especially if Linda knows
the place
We're going to have enough alcohol left over for road trips galore
I asked re Lounge as an alternative to making noise in the room
