NESP will be selling holiday ornaments this year, to continue on the
tradition from 2006. We'll keep you posted on details. Huggy

If anyone has a small area charity that they have personal connections
with (shelter, something actively helping kids, etc.) please PM me with
their info. I'll be looking for a worthwhile recipient as well. Heart
No rest for the weary! I love it!

Check out on the very bottom left. There's a 3D star cut out one with
a snowflake border around it. That would keep with the snowflake
theme started last year. We could customize it with whatever saying
we want, and they're reasonable. We should probably do general
Soul Patrol or Soul Thing type message so we can sell to the masses
and offer the collectible to everyone Heart

LOL Tricia, they also are unbreakable, would mail easily, can come
with a gift mailer, etc. I'm laughing because Tricia, Jan, and  I worked on the project last year and we learned a few things along the way Haha

See what you guys think of this one. It's a little different, as the focus
is teens. Little kids get a lot of charity attention at holidays, but
teens don't get as much. This might be really cool-we could shop
for their wish lists, donate to the center, and maybe even decorate,
or do a dinner or something...I'm writing them for more info, but
meantime check out their site and see if you think it looks legit and
like a good match for NESP Huggy

This is another place I thought of Liz

Amy, that Opportunity Farm looks awesome too. LOL the lady
already emailed me back from the teen place and is extremely
interested (I said we're shopping for a recipient for our efforts) in our
ideas. Let's see what else she says (I had more questions). Will
keep you posted. I figure we can do both-one for holidays and one for
the spring. It might be cool to save the farm for good weather so we
could actually go there, visit, and see it in action Highfive
Liz,
Stacey and I were talking about the ornament project at lunch and said it would have to be a star ornament. I come online, and as always, we are on the same page! Is there any way for us to get a larger picture of the star ornament? And more importantly, a sample.

Both charities look wonderful.
If people like the look of the ornament I'll get a sample (good point
Tricia-we needed to do that last year!!) and see if it's cheap or quality.
The picture would only go a little bigger. I'd like to see if they could
do silver instead too. I PMed you the idea I had re design too. Highfive
I like both the ornament design and the potential charities.
good thinking and planning!

I just spoke with the ornament people. We can do this in silver, with
purple or blue color for the printing. We would have to send her the
artwork in vector form (Tricia will work on the design when she gets
back-we're thinking antique harmonica with holiday ribbons, and something like Soul Patrol~ Peace, Love, & Soul 2007 on it) we can
add little snowflakes like in the sample. She's sending me larger
pics, pic of the gift envelope, and will also send me a sample this
week. It sounds like they will be under $5 to make and we'd probably
charge around $10-$15 each. Takes 4-5 weeks to produce so if we
order now we can have it in time for our party. Will keep you posted
as I get more info from them.
Working on the graphic for the ornament right now! Grin
