Well I had a very long, but very enjoyable day of shopping today in Bangor. We stopped at the Ellsworth Wal-mart store around 7:30 after the real mad rush of folks had left and found most of the items we were looking for. After that it was onto Sears and Dunkin' Donuts

Best Buy, the mall and Target. My mom is about 99% taken care of - meaning I'm about done buying for her. I picked up a couple of things for my sister (small things) and brother in law. I will try and work on Dad's stuff tomorrow (yes, going back out...but taking my parents with me). We left the house around 6:45 am and got home at about 7 tonight. We had supper at Applebee's.
The GAP cartoon above reminded me of a classic "overheard while shopping" comment, heard at the GAP several years ago about 3 days before Christmas:
"Christmas shopping isn't so bad if you just get past worrying about if anyone will like what you buy them."
Sort of profound and sad at the same time.
LOL I have never tried Mary Kay! I take it satin hands may be hand cream?

It's a set of exfoliant and moisturizer for hands. Smells like peaches. I am not the Mary Kay lady tho, so I am not going to chat it up any further except to say that my mother now has good winter skin for the first time in decades. (They also make Satin Lips.)
I used to know someone who sold it and she was really hard core about it! LOL Expensive though. I have peach scented "everything"!

That's one of my favorites smells! Satin Lips, could use those! My lips seem to be chapped 24/7 in winter.

For all those who shopped 'til they dropped.- cheers !

Straight up latte grande with an extra shot of espresso please ! !
and in case of emergency while traveling . . .
Very cool liquid art! Where on earth do you find all this stuff?
I do not drink coffee. Have tried it about 3 times in my life but always found it too bitter. I do however LOVE coffee ice cream and coffee liquer. Strange.
I'm glad that I am not addicted to caffeine in the morning...many cannot function without it.
I don't do coffee either. I usually just have a glass of juice in the morning with my breakfast. I cut the caffeine habit many years ago. When I do have caffeine now, I can definitely feel the effects and I don't particularly enjoy it.
I never drank coffee until 5 years ago when I started my 45 mile commute every morning. I prefer espresso over regualr coffee, and usually just have one in the morning. But, I have used a nice latte (skim milk and Splenda) as a treat during my weight loss!
