Seger makes a good point about "political correctness" having been taken to extremes in some cases.
But I find it interesting that while the intelligent satirical humor that once served to point out our foibles as a society is far harder to find and even seemingly suppressed in some instances, at the same time there has been an increase in open expressions of hostility in other situations that certainly lack any subtlety or finesse or often intelligence yet are tolerated by the PC police.
Putting that dichotomy in terms of the days theme . .
