Here is a wonderful review of Taylor's album that was posted on the boogie by griz.It was written by Clyde Lee Dennis on Nov.,3,2007. I wanted to share this here your gonna love it !

I can describe the release from pop music sensation and American Idol Taylor Hicks for you with just one word, outstandingWoohoo Unfortunately it's not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from begining to end. There is usally a song or two that I can't force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Taylor Hicksw00tbounceEvery track is enjoyable and was easy to listen to from start to finish. This CD is a nicely varied mix of twelve tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly talented artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind of emotion that makes for a great listen.Clearly drawing from what I assume are his own life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of loveHeart heartbreakSad pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They're all here. The nice thing about a CD like this is the level of talent, even if Pop Music isn't your favorite style you still can't help but appreciate the greatness of the artist.Listen to this CD and I believe you'll find ther's not much to dislike about it.The songs are inspired, the production is simply outstanding and his voice is in top form. While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorite are track 2 Dream Myself Awake, track 4 Gonna Move and track 8 The Maze.My smooth Lee bonus pick and the one that got sore ( as in stuck on repeat ) is track 10 Soul Thing, great trackWoohoo:woohoo:
The author of the piece is into jazz - - I find that very encouraging because I think Taylor could easily add more jazz influence to his music ( and wish he would - sigh ). He obviously has the feel for it and he a Brian G. created some very fine moments together.

OK, I'm feeling lazy tonight - just went and grabbed my own comment from boogie

Griz,
thanks for posting that review. There have been some blog alerts I refer to as "revivals" lately too. Some are simply people adding new comments to old, sometimes very old, original pieces.

Find it interesting.

Maybe others are doing the same thing I am. I had been listening to IYT, UTR, the Smith's and Nashville sets for quite a wile, but about a week ago I put TH in the car's player and it hasn't left it since.

Maybe it is a reaction to concert deprevation.

Am thinking I am going to keep track of the comments on that thread just for fun.

Great find!! I love this review!! I wonder if Taylor has seen it yet? Woohoo
It's about time there is some good press! WHOOOHOOO!
AgingHippie,he definitely deserves our support,I'm going over in two seconds to rate the article !.
