So how's the weather in your neck of the woods?  Anyone get to stay home because of the storm or do you still have to go in...like me. Sad  With any luck I will get to come home a little early.  It just got started here around 6am so my drive in won't be too bad.

Place your vents & gripes here.  We enjoy living here but we can complain about it too! We're all in this together! Huggy
Not going to start way up here til later this afternoon.winds gusting to 40 miles per hour tonite and tomorrow.I'm sure there will be no school
tomorrow so I'm thinking it will be a GREAT DAY to stay in and decorate the house for Christmas and stay in our P.J'S ALL DAY. Just love those kind of days.Heart
My boss called last night and said not to come in !! Slippery here with some ice and snow and some more predicted. Snow day for many schools, too !
We got alittle bit of snow yesterday, most gone with sleet and rain following it. Wind gusts here to 40mph today. Emma thrilled theres school, (kindergarten) LOL At her parent teacher conference her teacher says she comes in everyday like it's the first day of school!

My son on the other hand complained all the way to school "how come other people got 90 min delays? OMG! The horror! Haha
I don't go into the office on Mondays so I pray that all snow storms happen on a Monday!  I drive 45 miles to work.  After my last 5 hour trip home, yes, you read that right, I spend much time praying to the snow gods!

Cassie did not have school today, though I think she should have.  A delay probably would have been appropriate.  It's already stopped here. The weather people with their million dollar equipment were wrong, again.   A little snow story:  A couple of years ago they were talking about a major blizzard.  Even the teachers at school were telling the kids, well, we won't see you tomorrow so . . .  Anyway, we (my friends Laura and Kerry) said hey, let's have a blizzard party tonight.  We'll all sleep over Kerry's house and have a blast.  Well, all our kids had soccer practice that night and when all was said and done, no one could get it together to get over Kerry's house.   Good thing, it didn't snow a flake and everyone had work and school the next day!  Yup, our lives are truly changed by doppler radar!
No school here either....I will put them to work with shovels soon!

DH left before 5:30 for work and his commute time was doubled.
It is very nasty here!  The 2 girls that live the farthest away got to stay home.  I guess I really should move!  My usual 8 minute commute took about 15 minutes - can only go 30-35 mph instead of 50-55 mph.  I can't wait until it changes over to the freezing rain & rain on top of this snow!  Oh, and the 55 mph wind gusts - that should be super special! Tongue

Let's see...how's the weather in Birmingham today...
Sunny with a high of 49...
Tomorrow a high of 58

I'll take it - - - now where are those want classifieds? Wink
Around here just about every school, college, etc is closed for the day.
I get to stay home when there is a snow day so I'm glad. Grin

I will finish decorating the tree we put up last night and clean the house. My sons will go out and do snow clean up work. It is still snowing out now as I type.
I have work today. It's not too bad here, the city just needs to plow and salt. They usually do that right before it snows again and when people are going home. I live in Portland everything is backwards here.

Raining here... CT shoreline sucks! I always go in to work regardless of weather, anyway, since I'm the only one in the office. And if school is cancelled, the boss has to stay home with his kid!

Last night, though, it was so icy it took my parents 30 minutes to make the 10 minute trip home from north of town.

Pass those classifieds, Amy... Haha
