Once I realized that Taylor was most likely out of the running -- and got over it
I'm glad you are over it....unfortunately, I am not
I was HOPEFUL that Taylor would get nominated, hoping against hope that he would be, but was not overly optimistic about it...
I figure Taylor will have many more chances over the years...
Taylor has so much talent and the respect of so many fine musicians....
his time WILL come....mark my words.

Here's some perspective on the Grammys regarding a rock legend....Mr. Bob Seger:
There you have it....a man whose career has lasted 26+ years and is still heard daily on radio and a member of the R&R Hall of Fame yet has only won one Grammy.
Taylor has so much talent and the respect of so many fine musicians....his time WILL come....mark my words.
So true, Seger.
Same goes for one of my favorites, Jackson Browne, RR HOF member, widely regarded as one of the best singer songwriters out there, no Grammys.
Bon Jovi got at least one nomination this year, Jon only has one Grammy for last year's duet with Jennifer Nettles.
Ok here it is blunt as hell Grammy's mean JACK SHIT the end.
Hey, Grims!
Ace's REAL name is Brett, and he got a co-writing nod for #4's "It's Not Over"...
Oh I did not know that....never even thought about what his name might be; just thought the parents named him Ace. (I've a friend with a grandson Beau....etc)
Brett Asa Young
named after George Brett, the baseball player, and his grandpa, Asa, whom they called Ace.
This info thanks to my very good friend Andrea (not SegerHicks) - an Ace & Taylor fan (notice I put Ace's name first...) and even Taylor got a kick out of that.

I have a contribution to the "geniuses recognized much too late by those Grammy idiots" list...
Brian Wilson! He's been a recording artist since 1960, and didn't get his first Grammy til a couple years ago... for an instrumental. With cows mooing and stuff.
Obviously I have the utmost respect for those Grammy idiots.

OK It's time to educate Grimsby......
Isn't it supposed to be the "best of the best"?
Has it turned into a popularity contest?
Is there money involved....like the good ol' boys 'he who pays wins'?
Although I think Daughtery has talent....yeah, I know. Y'all want to eradicate me from the face of the earth.
Heard on the radio today a comment that Kanye West was only nominated so many times so we could watch him melt down when he does not win.....also comments on poor Amy Winehouse multiple nominations....
Springsteen did not get a nomination....and he's, well, like a GOD in the business. Best show I ever saw; Born in the USA Tour, FOUR HOURS, Bruce & the E Street Band.....

I think there may be something to the ratings game.
Springsteen did get a few nominations:
Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance, for Radio Nowhere
Best Rock Song, Radio Nowhere (competing with Chris and Ace)
Best Rock Album, Magic
Bruce did get passed over for Best Album, Best Song and Best Record
