I've been already today...nothing but a box from QVC.

Sorry Amy - - I got mine today - postmark of Dec 5 so pretty good considering the norm for this area 
Mine didn't have a Time Sensitive stamp but has a separate First Class label with both a forwarding service request and tracking # - - either serious about getting them to us - or they've heard about the USPS service up here in the woods
I think the goodies are cute - - - and commensurate with the cost of the membership.
Cost of : company hired to do the job + packaging & mailing + the items themselves - -
for a $25 membership ? - - I've got no problem - - but then I only joined to get tickets and support the site anyway so a giveaway is just an extra treat to me.
For perspective - - a collectors club I once belonged to was $65 a year - - since they also have their own factory the gift cost them maybe $3 and was sent bulk rate when that was really cheap - - all I wanted was the stupid piece of paper that let me buy the annual limited edition piece - - so I paid $65 for the priviledge of spending money and for advance notice of new pieces during the year which of course they hoped I would also buy.
Guess that would be the equivalent of being able to buy advance sale concert tickets wouldn't it
Anyway I am dead certain that this will be no different than anything else Taylor has ever done so in the interest of not getting my ass banned from one site in particular where I have already written and deleted a post or two - I am going to stay out of HQ threads while this plays out

Well everyone! Today was the JACKPOT for me!! 
Not only did I get the HQ package,
BUT I also got my Taylor calendars I ordered from KOPS,
AND that's not all...also a mystery package with a pair of nice socks in it! Whoever you are -Thank you! My wait at the mail box is just about over.
I told you I hit the jackpot!

Not that I need some sort of note, but..
if you had joined HQ last spring to get concert tickets, then had not followed Taylor's career on any of the fan boards since then, and then you got this plain brown envelope out of the blue..
you might go WTF, who is this from -- my crazy cousin who knows I voted my index finger off for Taylor??
It wouldn't have been THAT much trouble to include some sort of note WITH LOVE AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THHQ.

Found this marvelous creature today - will be useful for many things I'm sure
RE: out of the blue - - why is it HQ's responsibility to keep someone informed who doesn't make use of HQ or the multitude of other sites available ? And if they don't notice the THHQ then let the crazy cousin get the credit. Or maybe - just maybe - they'll get back online to find out what's going on - not a bad thing really !
And if there had been some piece of paper with some writing on it - it would have been the wrong size, color, wording, not personally signed, use your imagination because it would have been picked clean down to the font used ! And then there would just be Something else that would be wrong so what the heck it may as well be a "missing" note as anything. Not a John Mayer fan exactly but have to wonder if he and Taylor ever talk - would like to be the proverbial fly on the wall for that.
BTW: since things deteriorated even faster on the other site than I made a bet they would the animal shelter's donation just doubled - thought Liz would like that tidbit.
