*Michael & I do not exchange gifts, nor do we buy or receive for other people; just do the gift grab (pull a name) with his family, and buy something for his mother. (which reminds me I need to call her to ask her what she wants this year) Much less stress. ODD? Yes, probably but it works for us!*

Artificial since my folks installed a shag carpet in the 70s and found needles in the carpet in June.. the fake tree looked so good when decorated, guests were fooled. Save a forest, cut down a polyester.

Life is too complicated for one this year.

I like to open one present Christmas Eve.. when I was a kid the parents would pick one with high play value, so we could open it and occupy ourselves, so I still like that custom. The rest in the morning.

A change in the routine, time to get together and visit friends and family

2. Real tree or artificial? Real, but I have to wait until the kittens grow up...they jump the tree and drink the water!

4. When do you take the tree down? New Year's Day or the day after--Im usually watching The Mummers' Parade tho (its a Philadelphia tradition that my family has aquired since moving from central NJ to NE PA--love the string bands and the kids get a kick out of the costumes!)

6. Favorite gift received? hmmm, I dont know--I never expect anything for Christmas--I get lots of enjoyment of seeing the reactions of the others who Ive gotten presents for--and of course, I love watching my kids' reactions!
