Mine did go out today!
I'd mailed some things yesterday, put postage on it at the office & dropped the stuff off yesterday morning. Imagine my surprise this morning when I saw that those four envelopes were back in my box with the note that additional postage was required!!!
Especially since I had just put all the NESP envelopes (with surprise) into the mail slot!
SO I waited 10 minutes...the line for the counter was out the door. When I got to the counter I handed Doug the four envelopes, and explained I just put more in the slot! He was so very nice. He got them all out of the slot, weighed each one, plus the original four, and put the additional postage on. It was 4:15 by the time I left...they close at 4:00.
You may see this on Monday but perhaps it will be an after Christmas surprise. I hope y'all like the surprise & think it was worth waiting for......

Yes, we really do have the best PO. They're very nice, call me when I get an overnight mail, help me with the big trays, and give treats to the dogs....not mine (I have cats) but the nice dogs that go in with their people. One just puts her paws on the counter and waits patiently for her treat....big yellow dog, very happy dog
Yes, Thank you, everyone!!! I have been coming home to 2 or 3 cards a day. One day (2 days ago), I only had bills! What? No cards???
I think I was getting used to getting pleasant things in the mail !!
Yesterday, I started receiving more from all over the country, from my THF buddies! Boy, is my mail box going to be depressing after Christmas!!
Thank you for all the surprises you guys sent. Special cards, pics, music (very nice, Margaux) & of course, the happy thoughts. Ya know, like Taylor & missletoe!:

I did not get to the PO today...Michael decided "we" would bake today for Christmas, after we already decided NO BAKING because I'm fat & I'll eat it.
SO I got up early, made russian tea cakes, chocolate chip cookies, butter pecan bars....ran out of butter so I sent him to the store....made brownies while he was gone. Then when the butter came home I made pork roast (yeah, he wanted
dinner 
) and sent him on his way....
I made pumpkin dessert ring, my mother's recipe, older than me!
Now I have four loaves of cranberry bread in the oven, and should be getting the cranberry coffee cakes ready to go in next...but had to sit down....
Crap now the timer is going off & nothing ready to go in oven.
Lasagna going in after the coffee cakes.....
...have not really eaten today, except for baked goods...yeah so much for getting into the goal jeans for Christmas
Gee grims, feel free to send some of that food my way if you don't want to eat it all. It all sounds so delicious! I don't bake much, if I did I'd weigh 300 pounds.
Made two lasagnas this morning, deviled eggs, and another batch of russian tea cakes. Just have to bake the peanut butter cookies later, and then make up the cookie plates, and wrap the gifts for the grab tomorrow night...then I can slip into a sugar induced coma. Hopefully I'll be conscious enough to pack car tomorrow....can sleep on the way.

Going shopping soon to get the gifts for the grab - one girl & one boy gift. Also running into the store for a loaf of bread.....

You guys are making me feel really guilty. I don't do any baking...of
course my kitchen is about 5'x7' with about a foot and a half of
counter space so I have a little bit of an excuse. LOL if I made cookies
they would all have cat footprints in them
Trying to wrap and finish making stuff for family,etc. Can you say
"frazzled??" LOL
