additional info - - just double checked with the Hilton on keeping my room for Monday night - hadn't gotten a revised confirmation -  and checked my memory while I was at it

there is a public parking garage near the Hilton - opposite corner - she thinks it is open until 11 PM

But if people are meeting at the Hilton they can also use their valet service for the evening for $5
Okayyy - - new page - - am bringing Liz's original question over

There have been a few ideas for preparty tossed around so let's
do a poll to see what people want to do. We'll probably have
to have the preparty around 3:00 to accomodate the M&G schedule
and we'll need to know how many are attending asap.

Choices are:

1. Sebago Brewing Company-where we all first met Smile
2. Hilton Garden Lounge-easy since many are staying here
3. Gritty's Brew Pub (recommended by Alicia, a local Huggy)
(does this one have outdoor seating? It sounds like it)

Majority rules-I'll call the place to confirm as soon as we have numbers....

and the map info

Gritty's is 396 Fore St  =  A on map
Sebago is 164 Middle St.    =  B
Merrill is 20 Mrytle St.  =  C

the Hilton is roughly the same as Gritty's but in the other direction
nothing is a huge difference in walking distance in good weather

I've been reading poor Taylor has strep again...boy I may indeed give hima whole bottle of OUZO...that stuff will peel the paint off whatever ailes you. I take a spoonful at the first sign of strep...and wham...it is gone. POOR BABY...
someone on the boogie posted strep and bronchitis - - wonder if his allergies make him more susceptible to respiratory problems ? ?
my d-in-law has fairly mild asthma and her allergies will trigger a bout - - am dying to make another suggestion based on personal experience but will shut up because none of my business  Cool
Think I know what you'd suggest...and me too.

My allergies usually trigger the respiratory infection, had it last year for most of the summer, same as Taylor, but this year caught it right away and am not at all affected Highfive

Taylor needs to rest & recoup this week so he's ready for NESP's infamous Taylor weekend's

The preparty makes absolutely no difference to me...if it's a nice day (PLEASE GOD) we should try to hang out in some outside seating if the restaurant will let us - so I guess I'm voting for Gritty's w/good weather. Smile
Outdoors sounds good, if weather is good, and not too hot. Figure we'll be hot enough later on.....Thud
I will do whatever the group wants.. it appears from the map that Sebago is several blocks closer to the auditorium, if that makes a difference to anyone.
Hotel told me there is a parking garage for $11/day at the hotel and you can go in & out al day long....she said others nearby you had to pay each time you went in & out. I plan on parking there and walkibg wherever we go...within reason, of course Haha

Better chance of seeign the "sights" if walking around town Wink
It's quite a sizable parking garage. It does share the parking for the ferry terminal so not sure how congested it might be on a weekend but I'm sure there will be plenty of room for us all. It's where I intend to park my car. Guess I'd better plan on the more comfortable walking shoes (as opposted to the stilettos - that I don't own Haha ).
