I'm glad to get the clarification that you merged a couple of threads. I responded through my email to get a "this discussion does not exist and sat scratching my head.

Now, I really wouldn't mind scratching Taylor's head.

Thank you for keeping us New Englanders up to date, Liz.

Love
Judi Huggy

Thanks for all the info and I too, will try to answer any questions about the general area. There are TONS of places to stay if you find the immediate Old Port area pricey.

DiMillo's on the water would be a great idea...and perhaps they would be free this time.
I still can't believe they were "booked" that day...I think the Idols might have been there for lunch or something.

I'm working on my sister going on this date too. Mentioned it to my brother in law and just got an eye roll, so I don't think he'll be attending. I told him to just give it a try but I don't think I can convince Mr. Oasis/Chevelle to attend something of this nature. I tell him Taylor covers Clapton, but it ain't happening. I thought I had convinced Andrea from WI to go too, but she has family obligations that weekend that she can't get out of. No matter what happens, I will be there. Among friends. :-)
I will definitely be there with at least two of my friends, but since we live close by we will not be staying in Portland. We were planning to hit the town early, there's alot to do in Portland. We might even take the boat out to Chebeaque Island and hear some Reggae earlier in the day.

I keep checking on the HQ site to see if there will be a presale for this. If I find out anything, I'll let you all know.
I'm glad you're checking HQ Deb. I tried to email them about this,
and got a form email back saying presales are listed on his site. No
sh*t Roll Eyes I specifically asked about the Portland show and
explained why we wanted to know, and emailed again saying the
question wasn't answered. I don't really expect to hear anything from
them that's useful. Sad

Not to hijack the thread, but Sideways posted the GC interviews w/Taylor on the HQ. The Apr. 23rd post is the (old) interview about Taylor wanting a spiffy web presence with bells and whistles and cool stuff. What a humongous dissapointment his sites are. Does anyone think they will ever get up to speed? P.S. There is lively chat most evenings on HQ. That is the only part that seems of interest to me ! Hope you all will pop in to say "hello" !

I tried once again to get on the HQ this morning and was told that my log-in was no longer valid. I have never once been able to get onto his site. I sent another email to the customer service and received a reply almost immediately. I'll try again to get on there tonight...very frustrating!!!!!
There may be a presale opportunity through the promoter website, http://www.7chakra.net. There is a place you can sign up to get emails when a concert goes to presale. I signed up, it was really easy, but I haven't received an email yet regarding Taylor concerts.

I heard about this through my FOX rep (I am in advertising/marketing), and she indicated that the presale might be on Thursday. If I find out more information, I'll be sure to share it here first.
just went and signed up too and while I was looking around I saw this

Michael McDonald
September 21 at 8:00 PM  The Merrill Auditorium
Portland, ME

Michael McDonald has made a career of blending rock, adult contemporary, soul and rhythm and blues into a distinctive sound that has earned the singer/songwriter legions of loyal fans and no less than five Grammys. From a backup signer with Steely Dan in the mid-'70s till his joining the Doobie Brothers, which was the group's most popular time and his solo career, Michael McDonald has fed us a steady diet of hits. They include "What A Fool Believes" and "Taking It To the Streets” with the Doobies’s and solo, "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)," "On My Own," which was number one and "Sweet Freedom.”

On sale now!

I am going to be in sooooo much trouble with this developing concert addiction  Devil
Thanks for the tip, Deb! We all work well together, don't we!
