Thanks "muchly" Margaux ! !

Will plan on catching it and will pass the info on to a few folks too.
Have missed a little of it - had 8:30 stuck in my head for some reason Sad

But got on just in time to hear him introducing a Grace Potter and the Nocturnals song !
now Warren's smooth sound
now Jackson Browne - - interesting comment  - - if you take the reggae out of it,  just about every reggae song is a country song

Really hope they put this concert on the RAVE channel too.

OK - going back to finding the bottom of the In basket with a much better attitude Grin

Thanks again Margaux !

I hate to disagree with someone as well versed as Jackson Browne...but on this I cannot agree. I am a big fan of reggae and to me it is nothing like country music. Just go to down to the islands and you will see what I mean...

I don't think he meant it that literally.  A lot of music is derivitive when you peel back some layers.  Am guessing he was referring to similarities in what the lyrics cover or maybe the underlying tempo?
The song he followed with - - which of course I can't remember now - - definitely had a country rhythm and feel - so maybe he was referring to the ease in changing the song's tempo.
Obviously I don't know what the man meant from the snippet they gave us - -  but am reasonably certain he was not making a direct comparison.
You could be right AH. Many songs can be reformed into another genre due to the lyrics or basic musical composition.
I'll have to think about that comment, but this is the first lyric that came to my mind..

"I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy".

Now tell me that wouldn't make a fine country song. You might have to add a few words about a pickup truck and a yellow dog... Haha
