A few of the "higher-ups" are discussing planning an NESP get-together possibly over the President's Day weekend.  Does anyone have any suggestions, ideas, locations of where this could be held?  Is there enough interest to even pull this sort of thing together?  I know I'd Heart to see you guys!

I looked at the Wrentham area (sort of) last night.  That was just an idea.  Salem, MA was suggested at one point, as was Sturbridge.

Open to all suggestions!
Are you looking for shopping availability or some touristy things? Do you plan to stay in the hotel lounge and party 24/7? Grin

Feb. can be tricky with snow storms but I am interested in partaking of a full day with you guys if it is close enough to not require an overnight for me. I grew up next door to Sturbridge....not too much there to see this time of year.

If you want outlet shopping.... Tilton, NH is cool.....so is Wrentham but with tax. Tongue
But MA doesn't tax clothing! Smile

I agree. I like Tilton too, but I'm trying to do things a little more central for the CT participants.
I agree with you Seger, Tilton shopping is cool, but the traffic up 93 on Friday night and Saturday morning will be atrocious on President's weekend, and I don't think the Super 8 at Exit 20 has a bar.

A get-together is a great idea.. I'm not too picky on where. I would think there would be good weekend rates at hotels around the Boston 128 and 495 corridors.
Depends on work schedule for me, but if reasonably close I can at
least drive up at night to meet you guys (who am I kidding? the
market is dead, I'm sure I'll be available Haha)

We can pick a place once we figure out what's central for who's
attending Woohoo
Sounds like great fun to me! I'm in for whatever the group wants to do.
I like the idea of the Wrentham area. Need to figure out how far that would be for me and for Stacey.
Does anyone know of some good places (read: inexpensive) to stay in that area?
Would love to visit Salem ! ! ! A friend who went this fall couldn't stop raving about the place.

Much prefer doing touristy places when the rest of the population isn't !
and love places that are like the Old Port in Portland or the Main streets of a Camden with it's owner in the shop places with unique merchandise.  And a cool little coffee place where you can overhear locals arguing about politics.
Think that kind of atmosphere is more conducive to creating a group experience and memories.

But then I admit to being prejudiced - I hate malls and outlet centers - same "stuff" and cloned clerks - maybe a different store name.
I like Salem too. I've been there once but I'm worried that most of their stuff won't be open at that time of the year. Sort of a Bar Harbor...after the tourists leave they hang out their closed signs and head to FL.
