I just needed to come here tonight and say to all of you how very grateful I am that this site exists. There is HUGE drama going on right now at Boogie and it's a shame. I have been a member at a few other sites in the past that went up in flames due to inter-personal drama, mean-spiritedness, and pettiness. I was a daily shadow at Gray Charles for many months.
I visit three sites on a daily basis for Taylor news....THHQ, Boogie, and NESP (shocker I know!!)....as well as KOPS for "business".
Only a few people in my "real life" like Taylor's music and none of them want to go to more than one show (if that) with me. I have said time and time again that I am thrilled to find all of you to share my love of TH with. The fact that you and many others "get" him like I "get" him is heart warming to me. Watching Dr. Soul's DVD with some of you in Nov. was a blast...hearing your reactions and feeling the exact same way made me smile! I would be
very upset if anything happened to this board.
Thanks to all of you who keep the drama out and the caring in! In the end, we are all here for Taylor.

Amen, Andrea. You beat me to the punch. I was going to make a similar statement. Major dessension happening over there and I will just stay out of it. It's a shame really. That's all I'm going to say at this point.

When the original Portland group got together we were all on the same
page-get together to see Taylor perform, have fun, and support him
in any way we can. As the group has grown, that hasn't changed a
bit
We assume Taylor or his reps check in here from time to time and
don't want them to see the fighting, negativity, and crap that has
become pretty common in other places. We try to think "how would
Taylor feel if he read this?" It's just nice to have a place to catch up
on the news and interact with other fanatics

Andrea, thank you for posting your sentiments and support of our cyber home!
This group has turned out to be everything Liz and I hoped for, and more. Recent issues on other sites reinforces my belief that NESP has the most intelligent, mature, caring, and loving TH fans anywhere. I am proud of the way all of you represent NESP, Taylor, and the Soul Patrol.
My wish for '08 is that we continue what we have started, and make sure our Soulman knows we support him 100%. It's your job to let everyone know that the Soul Patrol is strong and that we are here to stay!!!!

I don't know what's going on at the Boogie board (haven't been there in a while), but I really can't stand it when there is bickering & "pissing contests" on the other boards. People have the right to disagree with each other & to debate a subject, but it can & SHOULD be done respectfully. That's a no-brainer.
I always think to myself whenever I respond to a post..."what if we were all face to face, and Taylor was sitting there too...what would he think?" I think he would be embarrassed as Hell & a lil disgusted to see grown people acting like that.
I agree with Trish that this group is intelligent, mature, caring, and loving. Just plain awesome.

When I see things said to hurt other people and maostly Taylor I think of the beach.....you know when your sitting there and having lunch and all the seagulls flock around you and they end up getting in a pissing match with each other
well...........thats how I relate those other boards some have big attitudes or I shorten it by saying that bird has a tude.
The other thing I think has a lot to do with this tude is most of these boards are female, you get alot of females together in a room I'm sorry if some of you disagree IMO you have problems.So I think what we have here is not only unique but very rare jsut my thoughts guys.

Sorry guys - didn't mean to cause a tease situation.
It was a positive message from Ash to the Boogie membership. Every long running organization has a glitch now and then - - my grandfather used to call it "a hitch in your giddyup" - - hopefully things will be up and running again soon.
