I can't believe I didn't post this here; old news now, but thought some of you might like to read it! LOL! It's crazy long....
Lemme see now....I had the day off on Friday, so I called my friend Leah early to see when she wanted to leave for NH...this was her first Taylor concert, and I knew she was going to get a WHOMPING ... anyways, sometime after one we headed North...
The first karma hit us as we got off the highway and onto the street that would lead us to the venue...the first car we saw had a NH licence plate that read "WOO HOOOO" Yup, guess we were in the Right Place. So, we eventually find the theater, and park out front. The buses were already there, and we saw Clay crossing the street... said a quick hello to him, and we were off to the pre-parTAY that the NESP set up...here's a pic of the sign out front:

The venue was set up a little strange, but it was great inside: it looked like it was an old Hotel or something on the outside, and built into the side of a hill. Leah wanted to see the buses, so we walked up the hill to see them, and no sooner to we get there and Taylor is there...walking towards the bus with his hat on, and a cell to his ear - we stopped DEAD and just watched him get on the bus. After a few minutes we start back down the hill and run into Felix who greeted us with big hugs! We chatted for a few minutes, and then I said "ya know Felix, all the times we've talked I never got a picture with you" and he said "well, get one now! so I did ~

We wished him a great set, and set off again to the pre-party. We ran into a few SP'ers and got directions to the party- a mere 5 blocks away (flat thank GOD!) and start to head that way...we ran into my friend Alicia
and her friend Judy along the way and stopped a few minutes to speak to them. All of a sudden I hear this familiar voice say "Hey guys!" ~ I turn around and lo and behold it's Brian and Josh (this parts cute..) so I turn to Brian to say hi, and get a hug and Josh was right on it! He said, "Sure, Brian gets all the hugs" LOL! So, I say to him "Oh, Josh!" and I proceed to hug him! It was so funny! I promised next time I see him, he'll get the hugs first! So, we chatted for about 15 minutes, and then they had to go to sound check, but said to catch up with them at the buses later. We also wished them a great set, and we were off again!
The pre-party was great, about 30 people came, and there was a lot of stories and catching up there. About 20 minutes before the M & G (mine I won from HQ) there was a call saying that the non-HQ M & G (something that was arranged privately) was not going to happen because there was too many people, so only the folks that had the HQ's were going to get in. My friend Alicia asked me to take her stuff into Taylor, since I didn't have anything for him to sign, and Liz also asked me to get some pic's signed, so I took them in with me. I was just going to wing it when I got in there, but this gave me a purpose to help out my fellow SP'ers
So we are pretty far back in the line, which is OK with me (I went in with Andrea, who also had an HQ one) and she had some stuff to do for KOSP, so we kinda hung back and let a lot of people go ahead of us. One was a young married couple, who's wife was using a cane...I asked if we could get her closer to the front, but she said it was ok as long as her husband could help her in and out of there (which they did allow due to her medical condition) Remember them, they come into play later on....Finally we are at the door to the room, which turns out to be where Steven is set up, and the consessions are, so we start looking at the new merchandise, and say Hi to Steven. He's such a sweetie, and has been so great to us, that I asked him for a pic too! I love this face he's making!

So, finally it's my turn with Taylor, and I give him everyone elses stuff, plus the Pink Floyd shirt I got him, get the signatures on the stuff I needed for them, and get a great pic:

...funny thing was I was looking for the "I Got the Feaver" shirt, and he's wearing the sister-shirt in our pic! I didn't notice until later, when I was previewing the pic's. So then I turn to him, and ask him to take a pic of me and Bill...to which he laughed and said "of course!" I hand him my camera, and here's the pic he took:

Bill let out a "WOOOOO" and a lean right before this was taken, but Taylor got him on the rebound. We all had a good laugh, I thanked Taylor and shook his hand...wished him a great set, and went on my way. After that, we hung around outside until the concert started, and handed back the stuff I got signed to their original owners. Originally, Leah and I had 7th row tickets, but two of the girls who did not get in to the M & G were upgraded to front row for their trouble and offered their seats to us...one in the third row, one in the second row ~ Thanks girls! Though we were not together, the seats were unbelieveable, and Leah was totally comfortable sitting next to some people she met at the pre-party so we were all good!! I handed our tickets off to some others, who moved up to our seats in the 7th row, and they went and found yet others who could move to their seats closer than where they were...I think this kept happening for a while.... so that was cool!
I get to my seat, and turn around to see who I might be blocking while I dance and it's the woman and her husband from the M & G I introduce myself, and ask if they are on a board, and she is a member here- on NESP~ Hey Intago and Mr. Intago! I also ask her about my dancing, and she says you go girl!! I'm going to be up as much as I can too (Kimberly ~ you inspire me, and made my night sooo much more special- THANK YOU!) We chat for a few minutes, and then I hear Soul Finger starting and I know it's time!!! I won't go into too much detail, cuz this is crazy long already ; here's the set list:

part 2....
MAN!!! you could tell they were all having a great time up there!! The audience (at least some of us right there in the front) were dancing for all the fast songs, and sitting for the slower ones...I kept checking with Kimberly to make sure she could see alright, and she could (the seats were a little staggered so that helped) and her husband is soooo tall that he could see over me even when I was standing, so it was all cool. Before I knew it, it was over, and we were off to the buses! I said g'night to Kimberly and her husband (he's GREAT BTW, and totally gets the Taylor thing) and got Leah out to the buses for that action : Here's a few shots from out there:

So, there is a MOB there that we're not going to fight, and we back off a little to turn and see Josh and Brian again, sitting at a picnic table just chillin'! These guys, I'm telling you....everyone that is in a band ought to be taking lessons from Taylor's band....they are the nicest bunch of down-to-earth guys you'd ever want to meet, and they love talking with everyone! So, we get some more pic's with them

They took pictures with anyone who asked, and talked with everyone there, and even let us get a group shot:

They sat and talked the whole time Taylor was signing, and the crew was packing...it was really cool - KUDOS guys Good Karma for you both....
We all then said our goodbyes, as they took off on the buses, some went to local hotels, and others of us hit the road for home... could I ask for anything more than this night? I think, not....
2 tickets to the show, gas, 125 miles driven all cost money, the experiences I had this night: PRICELESS........
Thank you Taylor, Brian, Josh, Felix, Boogie, and Loren for a night I will never forget !!
Here's the link to my photobucket from that night - some are mine and some are Leah's-- a few shots of the show, but not many as we were not freely able to take them! Also, the last pic in there with Loren was from SI-- the only pic I took that night due to the same camera policy..

Nice recap and photos, Lori.. it's nice to be reminded and keep the feeling alive.

Lori,
Thank you - - Loved your recap and was actually more fun to read it now as a reminder of a great night ! !
Your pictures are great - glad Duff and I could provide some "cover" for the show shots -
Amy will be pleased with your great shots of her Montreux shirt too.
The cowbell shirt that Taylor had on was the other one in the NESP gift bag from Hyannis. I recognized it and said something like - oh, that shirt was with the Blue Oyster Cult shirt the NESP gave you in Hyannis, glad you like it too. Taylor looked concerned and said he was sorry but he didn't remember where everything came from. Told him that was completely understandable and not a problem - he smiled and said thanks - which made me feel a lot better since had instantly felt sorry when saw his reaction - think he thought I would be upset. Have I ever mentioned I can be "guilt tripped" very easily ? - especially when people do the puppy dog eyes thing - LOL
Really wanted to ask Bill if he ever got the one in the same bag that had his name on it but figured I better not go there in case that did trigger a memory and he hadn't
Just thinking again about Taylor's smile when he realized I wasn't upset that he didn't remember - and he did look relieved - I really hope no one has made him feel bad about that in the past. It was such a spontaneously honest answer - - he could easily have gone - Oh yeah, blah blah. . - and pretended he remembered - like I would have known the difference - - but he didn't - he told the truth even if he thought it might cause a problem .
Few if any of us know who Taylor is really - - but little things like that moment give us some insight and, for me at least, that little bit of conversation reinforces the opinion I've had from early on that this is someone I'm very proud to say I support not just as a gifted singer and talented musician but as a person.

Hey Lori I was one of the girls who didnt get a M&G but I got front row instead. WOOOOOOOO! Pretty fair trade and everyone got to move up a little
I felt like I was as close as a M&G and at the end I got a high five. I agree about the band as well they are sooooo friendly and Im happy that Taylor knows that we wont attack him if he wants to come out on his own and just hang out for a few.

,
It was fun seeing you again and thanks for introducing me to Stephen and keeping me company in the M&G line! You seemed so calm but when I told you I needed a piece of gum because my mouth was getting dry as we inched closer to Taylor you said yours was too!
You took a great pic of me with Brian G after the show by the way!
Thanks for posting your recap!
See you at the Big E!!!!
