I'm terrible at recaps-never seem to have the time to organize my
thoughts...
The Bates motel

Felt like I was transported back in time to
the 50s (40s?)

Sorry, but any hotel that has been the "host
to Woodstock concert fans for years" should have an ice machine. Ironically, I did get a great night's sleep there.
Bethel Woods is a beautiful venue and setting. Loved the look, the
pretty pathways, the whole design. Complete opposite of the real
Woodstock though. In '69 they were having sex in the fields and
smoking weed. In '07 you couldn't even light a cigarette or leave the
grounds. Meanwhile at the Buffett concert on the same night it was
much more of a Woodstock feel
It still is very surreal to me that I could be walking around in a place
I'd never been before greeting people from the internet.

It was
fun to meet up with Linda T. and crew, Diane, Tamara, etc. We ran
into a lot of SPers which was really fun
Taylor did a great set.

It was nice that the rain started right before he went on so all the tailgaters came in and got to see him

I agree, seeing Taylor at Woodstock with lightening in the background was "electric". He did a nice job of announcing Earth Wind and Fire. I wish they had mentioned him or thanked him at the end or something. He worked "I'm at Woodstock" into a song, which
I have on video if it comes out right. That was my favorite part
I wasn't crazy about EW&F's first half-didn't know any of the songs
and it was kind of disappointing. The second half was great though-
all the old standards. Finally got to hear Reasons live which was
quite the thrill!

I think the fans knew the songs more than most of the current band members, who seemed a beat or two behind on all the old standbys.
It was fun to see Stephen thoroughout the evening, and he was nice
enough to bring our gifts in. Great guy
