Margaux.....I don't think anyone will ever compare to Taylor either ! He definitely is in a class by himself ! I keep hoping that there are others like him,but the mold seems to have been broken LOL !

The defining moment for me was at the audition also. I immediately saw the charm, talent & potential for greater things ahead.

I have an idea...lets capture these thoughts some where so the next time Taylor comes around...we can give him these comments...using Roberta Flacks great song..."The First Time...Ever I Saw Your Face." I remember last year when he came to South Florida we too gave him a scrap book for the bus...with all our pictures, screenames, real names and something about South Florida.
I too love PTFMWB...still have my local oldies station play that often for the SP's...

I'm a little late getting to this thread...but here's my two cents.
I would have to say Taylor's defining moment for me was when he auditioned. You could tell
he was an original & very talented.
He totally captured my heart when he sang "You Are So Beautiful". When he sang the middle
part & reached those high notes, it just gave me chills. I just knew he was going to be the next American Idol.
When Taylor sang "You Send Me" he won my heart over forever.
I've recently started to commute to work again, and I was listening to the CD I made of all his Idol performances the other day. I haven't listened to it for a while, but when I got to the end and he sang DIMYP, I found myself feeling some of the same excitement I did the first time he did that song, when Simon said he had just won American Idol. Funny how it can still affect you almost two years later!
