Random House has posted some initial booksigning dates.
http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/displ...sbn_events
NYC is Tuesday July 17, 1 pm Barnes and Noble on Fifth Avenue.
Other dates in July are in the south.
They seem to have very little to do with the tour dates..

LOL Do we start bombarding HQ for New England dates now or should we give them a little break?

I posted the same news under TOUR (it is a tour isn't it?)
I compared this list to the tour list, and no matches (and no conflicts).
But would we be shocked to see a Boston or Providence book date around our August dates? That nice new Borders in Burlington MA would be central and easy to get to (or the Barnes and Noble at the mall exit).
Hi Margaux, I'll merge my thread into yours in a week or so. I think
people read the news section so I put it there too...It would make
sense if he mixed in some signings along the way. We have a lot
of nice bookstores in MA

I think he should come to your store!!

The only Celebrities that ever show up for signings at the bookstore in Concord are Bill "Spaceman" Lee and Fritz Weatherbee (a NH personality who has cultivated the classic New England accent and weathered visage).
Heres another pre sale date for The Capital Center on August 17 Concord new Hampshire!!!
The pre sale supposedly starts Monday @ 11:00
Let's hope this is his preliminary schedule and more dates will be added.
Ahhh, but if one is in town anyway ?? would that - as my grandmother used to say - change the water on the beans ?
Have absolutely No Idea why she always said that - just find it amusing - LOL
There are still 3 empty days on the calendar between Portland and NY (which is the day before Concord). I am hoping for a book signing event to pop up on one of these dates!
Burlington, MA is a relatively easy drive 40-45 minutes south of where I live. Even if it's during the day when DH is at work I would still go and bring the kids.
How do these book store signings work? Do you have to get there really early and wait in line and how many do they typically limit the crowd to? I'd hate to tote all 3 kids with me only to wait in line for hours...they'd be way too bored...would need a babysitter, dang.
I'm getting ahead of myself but I really think there will be a NE book signing scheduled.
I worked at a bookstore that did signings.. the biggest celebrities we had were Bill "Spaceman" Lee (one of the more unique former major league baseball players), and Fritz Weatherbee (whom you saw on NH Chronicle, curmudgeon with a good accent, or at least he plays one on TV).
For a big signing, our store would sometimes give out numbers, starting at a particular time, then they'd announce which numbers could get in line. You are expected to buy the book from the store, and only the book can be signed. (Hmm... if you bought a CD at the store, I wonder if you could get that signed?)
I don't have any idea what time you'd have to get in line for Taylor.
I agree that Burlington would be a perfect place for signing. Brand new Borders, and a large Barnes & Noble, both right off the highway, lots of good places for lunch (yum, Cheesecake Factory and Legal Seafoods!).
