I am really bummed. Really sad. That stinks! getlost
I feel bad for Junior Seau also....he seems like a really sweet man and came out of retirement to play for coach BB.
TB had no freaking protection. What a shame. Argh

Congrats to the few NY fans here. crying
Smile Just checking in to see how everyone's doing...
I'm still seriously bumming over here...
Not rubbing salt in wounds here...just reporting what I see.

I just saw the "Eli Manning, you've just won the Super Bowl! What are you going to do now?" commercial.

His reply, "I'm living the dream. I'm going to Disney World."

I think he's absolutely adorable - southern drawl and all. Smile
Not happy with the result, but damn, that was a football game!

And yeah, the anthem, nice pre-recorded version there Jordin!
I thought I would feel better this morning but I don't. Sad
I put the kids to bed at halftime last night and my daughter said..."I just KNOW the Patriots are going to win!" .........crying
I told them the outcome this morning and they feel bad too. Then my son (who has been proudly wearing his Welker shirt for 2 weeks) asks me in a small voice "Did Welker at least catch the ball one or two times Mom?"
I was happy to tell him Wes caught the ball many times but was always tackled before he could get it in for a touchdown. He was happy with that report! Heart

I need to let it go.
The thing that ticks me off is all the headlines and comments "Patriots not perfect"....well, NOBODY'S perfect but oh how I wanted to crushed Don Shula's smirk and record! I don't like the fact that in the minds of the critics, this loss completely diminishes the Pats record run this season. It was a very close and frustrating game.
I need to let it go.
Huggy

You'll recover. I would rank this loss up there with the game 7 loss to the Yankees in the AL championship in 2003. Trust me, you'll recover. Smile
Well Tom Brady did get the job done in the end. They were winning with 2 mins left. He marched them down the field and scored so I wish they'd leave him alone. I have never seen him get hit so many times...12 to be exact. I love the Pats but TB got no time to throw and defense was lacking. There is always next year and besides if they had won where do you go from perfection. Now TB has a reason to stick around and try again. Tom I hope you aren't hurting too bad todayand boy can you take the hits. OUCH! MB
Im not going to gloat at all! My fellow Pats fans have no reason to be upset--they played HARD all season long Honestly, I was shocked when I saw Eli run that ball and make that game winning pass. Yes, Im a die-hard Giants fan but that was a GREAT game against a GREAT team. Its a testament to how hard both teams played and bad they both wanted it.

Congrats to the Pats for a great season and a GREAT game--now thats how football is DONE!
Seger, dont feel bad. Huggy The Pats played HARD--REAL HARD!!! I will say this--Tom just couldnt get his stride going. Really. It was sort of surreal. And yes, he didnt have as much protection as he should. But you know, I really think he pissed NY fans off with all the walking around the city w/Giselle he did with the foot wrapped and then not wapped. I think he was messing with the media's minds. I also think he was a bit confident--a bit too confident that they were going to win and Big Blue wouldnt do it.

But dont feel bad--they were a TOUGH team to beat--really! The Pats played very, very hard and dont feel bad. It was a classic match-up and a good game.Highfive

I'd be more pissed bout watching Bob Hope Classic for 5 days straight and NOT SEEING TAY ONCE!!!!!!Argh
