BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Birmingham's downtown entertainment district will be called The Forge, a name that links the city's past with its future.
The $40 million district, which includes clubs, restaurants, and shops, is being developed by Performa Entertainment Real Estate in partnership with the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC). Alabama American Idols Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard each plan to open a club in The Forge.

I had read about the Forge. I think Taylors place is cute but for some reason I think he'll do something else.
"Something with Soul". Hmmm lets think of some names for him!
Actually "Taylor's Place" or simply "Taylor's" would be the best name to get the point across. He wants it to be easily identified as HIS place, and to keep his name in the public eye. Like BB King's or Buddy Guy's.
"Taylors Hip Swaying Joint" or Taylors Funky Jukejump Joint.
They both sound pretty rounchie to me.

Also add Ona's Music Room to that list. Names that transcend language fads and have a universal appeal.
Think I may have made this comment before - - given Taylor's long relationship with Ona, wouldn't it be interesting if they collaborated on the new club. Taylor's name value and talent combined with Ona's years of experience running a respected club and his reputation for championing young talent. Seems like a great fit.
