If it is a true mockup of the audition set, it would be worth it to take our pictures in front of Taylor-on-the-Wall. And see if he's still decapitated on the elevator. Worth a field trip if Taylor's in Orlando anyhow.

Hmmm - just happen to know someone with a timeshare condo in Orlando - 2 bedroom - 2 bath - sleep 6 Wink

I've got a friend in Tampa that says I can always have her couch. Smile
Tampa is about 1 1/2 hrs west of Orlando on the Gulf Coast - doable but trust me that's a long drive home after a day at Disney.
Busch Gardens is wonderful too though - so plan a bi-coastal trip Grin
Well, right now I'm not planning any trip to Florida. Only AL & WI Smile

It's really not that bad, we did it last year. Although I wasn't the one driving, I was just the navigator. Grin It does help if you don't have small children whining in the backseat!

If you think you’ll need an “American Idol” fix while the show is on hiatus next fall, here’s an idea: take a cruise. Royal Caribbean International has announced that it will offer five cruises with an “American Idol” theme Nov. 19 through Dec. 21 aboard its newest ship, the Independence of the Seas.

The cruises, which last four days and six to eight days from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, will feature live performances from past contestants and will offer Idol-themed parties and activities. Prices start at $699. Cruisers who would like to be onstage can get an early start when the line begins to offer singing contests aboard all North American-based ships starting this March. Whoever wins the competitions will be entered into a drawing to win a fully paid trip to next year’s “American Idol” auditions. For more information see http://www.RoyalCaribbeanIdol.com
