Sometimes I do think that Taylor seems lonely.. we think "How can that be? He can have any woman he wants!" But when you're famous, they say it's hard to know who genuinely cares about you, and how many are attracted by the fame and glitter.
Taylor has been smart to keep his Birmingham friends around him. I hope he listens to them when they tell him he's full of sh*t!
He's so well grounded for many reasons some he mentioned in his book about waking up in different girls dorms, homes, apt what have you hes done that scene it gets old after awhile.Sure he can have any girl but I really don't think he is that kind of guy.I'm sure he is lonely and of course he's going to be leary of relationships because of his fame.He finally has his dream that he has worked so hard for and love and family will in too come his way.Good things will happen to him I'm sure of it,but it won't all be rosey.

Way back when he was People's bachelor he said in an interview when asked if he was passive or agressive when it comes to dating women he answered
"passive, very much so."
In theory he may be able to date anyone he likes but between being shy, passive and leary of the intentions of the girl....many opportunities may get by him. Who knows really? Just an observation/guess, but I think that Taylor takes his time and is a keen observer before jumping into a relationship. On the other hand, if a beautiful girl asked him out, I bet he'd have a hard time turning her down.
I agree....he's smart to keep his old friends close on the road! Safety in numbers and people he knows he can trust.

...And then there was the phenomenon of the fan. The letters came pouring in and they were glorious. I was getting an acceptance that I'd never dreamed of. They'd thank me for the encouraging words and uplifting music. They gave me credit for all of their triumphs and gratitude for helping them through hard times. It was as if I were a light in the darkness for them.
Why were the fans acting so fanatically?! People were acting like I was the second coming and it was impossible to deal with. They felt as if they really knew me. Hell, I was just a musician trying my best to learn how to sing and perform.
(Think of this next paragraph with Taylor in mind)i
Many of them were screaming girls. That was a big surprise. I thought I would get popular because of the "substance" of my music. But these screaming girls ripping things off my body had absolutely no interest in my music at all.
Sounds like a case of the fan girlies! At least we haven't gotten [i]that bad. At least not in front of Taylor, maybe behind his back!
Of course we want to rip things off his body and squeeze his onion, but...
