AH -
There was a synopsis of a line-up in the paper today. I didn't realize it wasn't at the link. I can't remember them all but I do know that Josh Ritter was on Saturday and Steve Earle was on Sunday.
If we weren't doing the NYC thing (if we are in fact doing it), that could get me up to Blue Hill. Maybe this would be more fun than New York.
Not to mention cheaper, easier and an entire 3 day festival of music for about the same ticket price.
Got this reaction from someone who is familiar with NYC when I mentioned the July date
" You hate heat. Why the (*) are you going to NYC in mid-summer? "
Ummm, well,
Don't know if anyone else has been keeping an eye on this festival but thought I'd bump it back up in case anyone was thinking about it and has now slipped their minds - - and for any of our guest readers that might be interested.
This looks like a finalized lineup - - pretty decent for a fledgling festival.
More information - like tickets and stuff - here . . .

I'm still tempted by the Josh Ritter show on Saturday night and the Sunday morning lineup - - but won't get back home from NYC until the 29th - -
and leaving the family behind again the 12th >17th - so probably not in the cards for me this year
If anyone goes - - please make us jealous

Unfortunately I've already spent all my concert money for this season, and would like to replenish the pot in case anything comes up in the fall. But there are acts I would definitely be interested here, I have a friend who raves about the Avett Brothers, Sam Bush is amazing, Steve Earle is as well.
Maybe next year.
I can't believe this will be in my backyard (practically) and I won't be able to go. It's right between NYC & Manchester trips and I think I might need a weekend to recover, not to mention let my pocketbook breathe.
The Winterport Music Festival is this same weekend. For $5 I can see J. Geils...tempting offer I must say.

Watched the Avett Bros. set via the iClips webcast of the All Good Festival.
Liked some - but not all - of what they did. Parts of the set dissolved into what I'll describe as chaotic loudness - - not my thing - - but really enjoyed some of their set.
Not familiar with Sam Bush - do like what I've heard of Steve Earle.
Yes from me on the next year plan as well - - if this is a solid success there might be even more temptation offered next year !

The Shangri-La Music and Arts Festival, held last weekend at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds, had one of its three days cut short due to the torrential downpours experienced in the area Sunday afternoon. Lightning and 5 inches of rain meant that organizer Joel Raymond had to pull the plug on most of Sunday’s festivities, for the safety of the audience and artists.
