I just watched my tape of the show and thought it was Felix, then came in here to find others saying they thought so too. There are some good singers this year, and the usual "drama" LOL Yes, where was Melanie?

She didn't make it.

Amy and I saw Melanie in one of the "a capella" lines from Tuesday night, but she obviously wasn't picked, as we never saw her in the room last night.

Yes, I rewound the tape and saw a brief glimpse of her. Too bad she did not make it through.

Just an FYI - - Was curious so asked a bit and got a definite confirmation that it was Felix. Was also told there is a conversation about it in Boogie's AI section if anyone wants to check it out.

I finally noticed him last night. Will he be playing with the band all season?

AH, it's so funny that you say it is definitely Felix. After watching last night and seeing a closeup, Cassie and I had decided it wasn't!

It definitely was him. The first shot they showed he was half-turned away from the camera, but when Josiah dismissed the band there was a full-face shot of Felix grinning his signature grin. We stopped the tape and confirmed it. He cut his hair short near the end of the Taylor tour, so maybe that's why some of you didn't recognize him right off. i am trying to make a screen cap of it to post.

Nice that Melanie had a friend there, even if she did not make it.

She made it past the first round, past the first 164 (?) because in the acapella clip they showed it was the people who stepped forward that were cut, and she was in the back line.

But I did not see her in the room with the top 50, waiting to walk to THE CHAIR. There was a cut we did not see between the 164 and the 50, and I think she got the axe there. Maybe they booted her because they were eliminating her but she'd leave without sobbing, breaking down, or flipping the bird to the camera in the elevator- in other words she was not good enough TV to go through the chair torture segment.
