I voted for David A., David C, and Jason C. Heart

I thought David C's version of Hello was AMAZING! I thought that most of the guys picked great songs yet again.....what defines the 80s more than Breakfast Club, Lionel Richie and Phil Collins?? Grin

I was happy that Jason got high praise from Simon because he looked very unsure of himself up there! Nice to hear what he can do without a guitar this week.

Why didn't David A. use the bathroom before they went on air!??!? Rotfl I agree with Simon, he should have stayed at the piano....but I still love him. He sounded a bit hoarse tonight.

Why on earth did Luke sing WHAM?? Dumb song choice IMO.

I would like to see Luke and Danny go home this week!
Favorites tonight?

I voted for David Hernandez. His performance tonight moved me so much more than David Archuleta's Imagine did last week. Stripper or not, he won me over tonight.

I also voted for Luke. I don't know why - he's my little sentimental favorite and I felt like he needed my help tonight. So, I just did it...and it didn't hurt.

I threw one special vote in for David Cook, too. What an amazingly cool performance of a little old pop tune! I never could have imagined that Hello could sound so MODERN!

I liked Michael tonight too - he did one of my favorite 80s tunes. Let's see the rest: David A - it sounded good but he's a little too safe & bland for my taste. Danny...when I watch one of his (freudian slip - I actually typed HER there first - seriously Haha) performances I end up laughing. I'm sorry, I just do. Jason - I'd never heard the song and didn't really like his performance of it. No votes for me tonight but I hope he makes it through to next week. Chikezie - He sounded ok, but it was a little boring & safe for me.

I HOPE Chikezie & Danny go Thursday night but am guessing it will be Luke & Chikezie.
I really feel like the judges are leading people more than usual this
year Roll Eyes I couldn't help but think, out of all the songs of the
80s they picked these?! Tonight I liked Luke, David Cook, and Jason
C. (and I'd never heard his song before). I even voted for them Wink It
felt weird, I wanted to hear Taylor's voice when I voted!! Cool
I voted for Luke because it looks like he's not doing well.. the judges don't help him at all. Maybe he's only good enough to sing on cruises, but I wanna know when he sails, so I can sign up for that ship!

However I thought in general, the guys were good last night, and the girls will have a challenge to match up to them.
I'm stealing Music Mavens words about the show last night."Did all of the testosterone get sucked out by AI5" Yup it sure feels that way to me.Grin
Well lets see I thought Randy's shirt had a oh so nice sparkie to it.Paula was on top of her words again and my buddy shocked Simon loved the ones I liked for once shocked.
My fav was Jason Castro,David A really needs to show us more feet movement and yes he should have stayed seated. I think Luke,Chakezzzz, and the girl need to go home.I'm really sorry for sounding so negative but I just don't see any real raw feelings coming from the soul, heart felt, ass kicking, make you want to just say Woohoo.I haven't been MOVED yet.Not once have I sat on the EDGE of my chair with my hands clinched so tight that they turn white.Thats the feeling I'm oh so much missing.Sad
I don't think it's going to happen again, Lisa. I don't watch the show with the same attitude anymore. I just enjoy it for what it is and no longer compare.

I now that Amy,and I tell myself not to compare but we all here know that oh so strong tugging and tight hold that Taylor has on us all.I think I am going through a really bad case of mid-life blues and this friggin snow dosen't help matters.Smile

The song was also used in Shrek 2. Very nice version as well.

Oh, and Liz - I had never heard the song either.

Maven is a very good "about the music" blogger. Glad you are reading her.
Am guessing you haven't left a comment, but will let her know she has another supportive lurker. Smile
