I wasn't even going to watch any idol this season but DH is and he's in Jersey tonight for work sooooooo I decided to DVR it for him and I watched some of it. OK the first one I saw was crap I don't even know his name! Sang Papa was a rollin stone, thought he was great. Like him.
BUT OMG! David Archuleta made me cry! And I'm with Paula I could hang him from my rear view mirror! LOL What a voice for a 17 year old! I even voted!
David Archuletta just brought me to tears. He is unbelievable for barely 17 and IMHO he deserves to win AI7. That may be premature and I like many of the crew this year but this kid is something VERY special!
I voted for David A. and Jason C. a few times each...I am shocking myself as I dial the phone but I want to see more of these two so I'm voting!
Again, I was digging a lot of the song choices....I love Foreigner, Bad Company, The Carpenters, and Donny Hathaway....just love 70s music!
David Hernandez was good tonight and I liked Chickezie and David Cook (but hate the hair!)
Luke and Michael and Robbie are just OK....no wow factor.
I predict I will purchase any CD that David A. makes down the road.
David Archuletta was great, SH. But, no tears were shed. I just find it amusing that this kid won Star Search and is now in the running to win American Idol. What's next, world domination? Don't get me wrong. He's a great singer but I just wonder why the need to be on AI if he's so good? Why hasn't he been signed. All the best to him. I voted - but not for him.
I threw a few votes to Jason Castro, Jason Yeager (Simon was so mean!!!) and David Hernandez. David H's performance was very good and I think they all improved over last week. I voted for the ones that I'd like to see stick around a little bit longer.
70s night was fun...assume next week will be 80s? My generation! Should be fun!
Star Search? Who even watches that anymore? I wouldn't expect him to be signed from that show, I didn't know they still did that show anymore. So no it's not surprising he wasn't signed to me. He probably wasn't even seen or heard by anyone decent! I don't imagine Clive sitting home watching it.
He's been a lover of the show since he was 10 so why not when your old enough and ready try out? He's awesome! The Yeager guy seems like a cheeseball to me....LOL Hernandez is the other one that I like, hopefully he'll go far..
He won Star Search when he was 11. So, that was about 6 years ago.
I don't know - he's just too Disney for me I guess. He's not someone that I would normally listen to. He will do covers well but I don't know how well he would translate on his own.

David Hernandez was good last night. I wish Michael had done a little better - he's just so great to look at.
I totally don't feel Michael at all. There is nothing there besides the packaging. I feel no heart, no soul.
As far as David A., he may be a little "Disney" as Amy said, but you know, when I watch him I feel his voice. He makes a very powerful connection. There is something inside that boy. As Paula said, this was what he was born to do. Cassie's decided to call him "Archie."
I was a bit disappointed in Jason Castro last night, but Cassie and I are still hoping for him go far in the competition.
Chickizie surprised last night, very nice performance of the Donny Hathaway song.
