I know I'd ask him to come over and re-string my guitar, but then I'm selfish.

I would ask Clay what other instruments he plays besides guitar. I would ask him what projects are in the works for him. Also who are his musical influences? At what age did he start to be interested in music? I would ask him his favorite song. That is what I would ask him!

I think I would ask what it feels like to be suddenly "famous" due to
the Taylor connection while he was already known in his area for
his music? Does it feel good to get the extra spotlight?
I would ask: How does travelling the country as a "roadie" compare to playing in your own band?
What's cool, what makes you wish you were back home with your boys?
I would also ask him what his other interests are, besides music?
