Many thanks to lilolme from Boogie for putting this fantastic artist in my path. Am always surprised when someone like this has escaped my notice.
Figure I must have been asleep for a conversation - - or maybe just serves as a reminder of how much good music is out there.
Have liked everything I've listened to so far - - here are a couple of samples to show her diversity
Dana Fuchs Band - I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James Cover)
Dana Fuchs Band - Helter Skelter (Beatles cover)
More music and videos on her MySpace
http://www.myspace.com/thedanafuchsband
Don't miss Strung Out
And check out her movie credit as Janis Joplin - nice
For those of you who live near civilization
Wednesday April 9: The Paradise Lounge - Boston, MA
Thursday April 10: 8pm Iron Horse Music Hall - North Hampton, MA
Saturday April 12: 8pm The Highline Ballroom - NYC
Saturday May 3: World Cafe Live!- Philadelphia, PA
BTW - I did the DEMAND thingy for Portsmouth
ETA: her CD is sold out on her site and on CD Baby - there is an iTunes download for a live album linked on her MySpace
