Do you like the TBS coverage? I don't mind the play-by-play announcers so much, but the dude running around the ballpark doing the little "remote" bits I could do without. When they came back from commercial and his head was sticking out of the scoreboard I had to laugh. Jason Bay was standing there in left field and he had to be thinking "WTF is that supposed to be".
Cassie and I really miss Don and Jerry! We love it when they crack each other up and all you hear is the airy laughter!
Oh, I know. I don't think there is any other regional color commentator and play-by-play team better than Don and Jerry. They mesh together so well and sometimes, are so bad.
Nothing better than the Red Sox with a huge lead (or vice versa) and they get bored. No one in the ballpark is safe!
I remember a number of years ago turning on a game on a Sunday afternoon. I hadn't really watched the Sox, but they were having a good year and I was interested. I turned on the TV and there were no announcers speaking. Then I heard it, airy laughter that turned into snorts and long sighs. I fell in love with them then!
Oh yes, and it's so infectious! I do tune in to the pre & post game shows on NESN for Jerry's remarks. He's probably happy these games are almost over so he can just go home and watch TV on his big screen!
I'm done with this game tonight. Thankfully they don't play again until Thursday. Maybe someone can light a fire under their asses and they can win another game before they head back to Tampa.
This is hard to admit but those Rays are awesome.I'd like to see them take it this year.
I do have something to bitch at though...they have to STOP spitting, gawd on a 52" plasma its gross!

Tampa does have a great team this year and if the Sox can't win it all, then I'll get behind those Rays.
