Got this from a friend who I have spoken with about Taylor making music on his own.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/03...index.html
Someone else was doing this too-I remember reading that and
thinking it would be interesting for Taylor. I love the girl's sense of
humor Haha

What do you think Taylor fans would pay for a concert in their home?
smog (rapidly looking up the max on my credit card Haha)
Radiohead actually released their recent CD on the Internet on a "pay what you want" basis. They then released the CD in the stores early this year and it ended up doing quite well.
There is a small link on the left side of the article that leads to the details of her interesting approach
She lists support levels from $10 to $10,000.

Don't Miss

ETA: Liz, check out Charlie A'Court's house party thread if you'd like to see how they work Grin

I'm thinking how to generate $5,000, because I would pay that much just for "I Kissed A Girl" live in my house. Hmmm...
It sounds to me like we just need to find the house (Note to self -- buy Powerball tickets this weekend). If you build it, won't they come?

AH, I saw the Charlie A'Court house party thread, and wondered if you had.
Margaux, the house party was in another thread first - - the Blind Boys of Alabama I think since Charlie is opening for them - - and got more mention in the Austin festival before Charlie started the dedicated thread.
In that original conversation Orca suggested a garden party as an alternative and noticed some others have mentioned that now too.
A couple of restaurants in my area have private function rooms they charge very little for ( $25 - $50) if a minimum number of meals are sold. That could be something to check out if someone is space challenged or wanted to do a party with minimal effort.
Charlie is in Nova Scotia so the idea is tempting.
