My hubby thought it was too far to drive to Torrington and it would waste gas (I live by the casinos)...whatever!!!! so I didnt go. And when he played at Foxwoods, I couldnt get tickets cuz they were sold out...talk about bad luck on my part!! guess it wasnt meant to be....Hubby said the only way I get to see Taylor is if he played for free...enter: the BIG E!!! Thats how I got to see Taylor...
Well -not anymore! I work full time, and cut back on alot of things...I WILL be at the next Taylor concert
WHOOO!
Not long ago I went through my jewelry and got together a small pile of 14K gold that I have not worn in more than 12 years. When I was single and working full time I was a good saver but I spoiled myself with designer handbags and lots of gold jewelry. Fast forward to today when I wear mostly sterling silver and I shop for bargains and big sales all the time.

I went to a bit of a seedy place (Cash For Gold Haha) after doing some research online so I wouldn't get screwed...and to my delight I got over $600 for the jewelry that I never wear! DH asked what I was going to do with this "mad money" and I said....whenever the opportunity presents itself at a TH merch table, I am going to buy myself a used & signed harmonica!
In my fantasy world, I get one someday from Taylor without having to pay for it Grin but in the meantime if I ever get to the merch table EARLY and see one for sale......it's MINE!!! Woohoo I know they were around $300 during the '07 tour and come with a COA. Smile
Joe came to two concerts, the AI tour one, and Melody Tent. He
had a good time at both, but can't see him going to more, unless they were right here on the Cape. He finds Taylor really entertainingHeart I also brought friends to a couple of shows. I've
got to say, I had a much better time just going with NESP who are
similarly obsessed droolbounce you don't have to reel it in at all Haha
I'm with all of you.. while it would be great to introduce my friends to Taylor, I would feel responsible for their good time, and miss some of the great NESP time. It's a dilemma, and I'm usually happiest when I'm on my own with my NESP pals.
Oh my gosh...if I had to wait for some of my friends from home to go to a show with me, I'd probably never get there! Luckily, my sister is also a Taylor fan and stays pretty current with the information. She went to two shows with me last year and I got my best friend, Nicky, to three shows. She didn't know anything about Taylor but what I had told her. Her first show was Boston's Avalon - also Cohasset & Concord. I told her - she saw the best of the best! She was impressed. Smile

I never would have gone to a show by myself before - now, I'm never alone at a show!
I faced going alone for the first time back last June for the Cohasset and Hyannis shows. I went with two friends before that to the Avalon and Hampton Beach, but they couldn't go to the cape and my husband certainly wasn't interested (he likes Taylor, but concerts are not his thing). Enter NESP into my life. Now I know I am never without friends to go to Taylor shows with.

For the Portland and Concord shows, I went with those same two friends. I ditched them in Portland to hang with NESP, and wished I had done the same in Concord. There's nothing like doing Taylor with NESP!
