Amy's heard my vent for the week about Brooke.. She was panned by many for singing "Jolene" because she's such a nice wholesome girl, how could she know about someone taking her man? Excuse me. It can happen to anyone. You think you're in a G-rated relationship, and find out your spouse/partner is having X-rated fun on the side -- with your best friend. If it hasn't happened to you, it's happened to your sister, your girlfriend, the lady in the next cubicle.
I enjoy both Brooke and Carly. They are more mature than the previous female Idol stars, and have a musical identity. Brooke sounds awesome on the ITunes studio recordings, her voice has a great radio sound. I absolutely loved Carly's "Here You Come Again", gorgeous tone and vocal control. I love the line "Here you come again, lookin' better than a body has a right to"... In her case, the ITunes arrangement is cheesier than the TV performance, too many syrupy strings.

The one when Tay, Elliot and Kat were Old Folks, that was the best! They are really boring now.
The only one that I thought was kinda cool was when they were on the shirts and posters singing...kinda neat.
