Wow-I had no idea VT made you serve for 6 months-that seems
way above and beyond the call of duty! Especially not paid
I've been called several times, but only had to serve twice. Not fun,
but kind of interesting overall (as long as it's really short term).
One was armed robbery and all the accused friends were in the
court glaring at us-scary . The other was a DUI and the cop
couldn't even do the tests sober that he made the guy perform.

What horror stories about doing jury duty! Last year at this time exactly, I had to serve on a case, but it was a big insurance co. trying to get back (by sueing) some of the money they had to pay out in a claim. They were suing the construction co. that did the work.
That's terrible about your cousin Duff! Tragic..
