Let's all help show Taylor that the Soul Patrol is together and thinking of him by helping him get that star at the Alabama Hall of
Fame! The deadline is April 30th. They need $5000 to make the star happen. If we all donated a dollar for each friend we've made because of Taylor, or each concert we enjoyed he'd be all set If everyone donated one dollar he'd be all set there are so many fans Please spread the word through your MySpace or Facebook friends, the fan sites you visit,etc. He deserves this for all he's given to us

Here's the write up from the Soul Connection who started the drive:
We are asking our readers to join us in contributing to the purchase of a stone for this walkway in Taylor’s honor to support him in his musical journey. Depending on the amount of funds donated, one (or more!)
of the following stones will be purchased
for the walkway with Taylor’s name engraved on it:
$1,000 donation = 16” x 8” Granite stone
$500 donation = 8” x 8” Granite stone
$250 donation = 8” x 4” Granite stone
$125 donation = Normal size brick
A $5,000 donation = Bronze star embedded in the floor of the building (with AL MHOF Board of Directors approval)
Send your donation directly to the AL MHOF to be held in a special account for this purpose.

Showcased at
Alabama Music Hall of Fame
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame recently opened its newest feature – a display showcasing
memorabilia from singer/songwriter/musician Taylor Hicks.
On display now are a few items Taylor has shared from his AI5 days as well as instruments
and clothes used during some of his tour performances. According to Hall of Fame staff, additional items are also expected to be included in the future.
Be sure to visit Taylor’s display in 2008!
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is located (near Muscle Shoals AL), 617 Hwy 72W,
in Tuscumbia AL. The museum is open Monday - Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and
Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm.

Tricia checked our "budget" (wow-we actually have one now ) and we have enough to do a brick that will say
New England Soul Patrol and will make a donation on behalf of
NESP for the star, plus sponsor a child to take Bluz's harp workshop. We wanted to do something from NESP without having
to ask members for a handout. All of you have generously
donated time, money, and ideas for our charity projects and it's
appreciated by so many people I know some members are
also contributing to these things on their own, but money is tight
for many of us and we don't want people to feel obligated to do
something that they can't, or feel bad if they can't. Thanks to all
for all that you do to make NESP a warm and welcoming home to
so many

I feel that I haven't really contributed all that I should have to the NESP, but...like others...money has been super tight these last couple of years.

I just wanted you to know that I think this is awesome & I'm very proud of you all! I'm very sure that Taylor is proud of you too!

No worries Ally! Everyone here contributes, some with cash,
some with good cheer, some with Taylor news, spreading the word
about NESP,etc. I'm sure every person here has been in a bad
money situation more than once in their lives-the good news is, it
usually turns back around.

When we originally started NESP we discovered most of the members had been involved in fundraisers for charities,etc. and
wanted to do some projects for the future. We had decided we'd do
things whenever the group got together. Little did we know Taylor
would give us so many shows last year We don't want
anyone to feel that to be part of NESP they have to be donating cash
they don't have. Even things on a small scale make a difference, and
we're exploring ways to make these projects happen in new ways.
