Here's the info if you want to sponsor a child for the harp workshop.
Cool stuff Cool It's $20 per kid Heart

From Bluz:
We now have 52 kids going to the workshop! You can call or mail the donation to the AL Music Hall Of Fame. Just let them know it's for the workshop. Here's the info...

Alabama Music Hall of Fame

Tuscumbia, AL 35674

AttN: Dixie or Ann
My understanding is that the fee is a fund raiser for the HoF and that Bluzkat / Whomping Paws will make sure that any child who wants to attend will be able to through these sponsorships.

Congratulations to the katz group for another great idea and count me in - - just wish they had a Paypal account Grin

I agree AH. But they don't have PayPal but they do accept debit and CC's over the phone. Just let them know it's for sponsorship for the harmonica workshop and it will be taken care of.

BluzKat has NO part of any funds. The funds are 100% AMHOF and can be verified by calling them. No child will be turned down. Whatever children are not sponsored, we are paying the Hall Of Fame the kids fee. BluzKat staff is paying for the instructors, their transportation, our photographer, cake and other things out of our own pocket and we are happy to do this. We are being paid back by seeing the smiles on these kids faces as they learn to play the harmonica.

Our mission is to bring the music to the kids and that's what we are doing.

The soul patrol has been wonderful with our request and sponsors are calling in with their donations.

The fee's are tax deductable because the Hall of Fame is non-profit. Woohoo

Although the workshop itself is closed to the adults, after the kids learn their song "When The Saints Go Marching In" everyone in the museum will be invited into the workshop and the kids, instructors, any special guest that may be there AND yes, us BluzKat folks will be on the stage for a jam session. Drool Now THAT is worth seeing! Woohoo

Yes, Bluz - it will be worth seeing. I'm hoping Liz & I are able to make it!

I better get my Harmonica & instruction book out so I can jam too.blushing
We will be sending our BluzKat Harmonica Jam instruction book to print by next week. w00tbounce Each child is getting one in their super kool back sack that has been embroidered with BluzKat's logo.

This book filled with really cool harp tunes and features some graphics from our upcoming book "The Harmonica with Soul" to be released in the fall of this year. Woohoo Grandma Purrrl even gives a quick course on how to care for the harp. Huggy

If fate continues to be on our side innocent a really nice gray haired man may autograph them. droolbounce
Grin I love fate.
Our instruction books have been printed and they are really nice. We included some graphics of the cats, inspirational quotes from Taylor and of course the cool collaboration of our lead harp instructor Mr. Addison Hitchcock.

These instruction books are free for the kids and will be included in their backsacks. w00tbounce

We thank all of the Soul Patrol who calling in or mailing in their sponsorship fees. The Music Hall of Fame said there has been a very good response and for that we are grateful! Huggy

We now have a waiting list of children wanting to get into the worshop. Hopefully we will be able to accommodate these kids. We have 52 kids signed up right now and hopefully we can move that number up to 75.

Woohoo
