AH -- not much better off than you when it comes to the early 80s. I was just done with school, living in Duluth Minnesota which was not a hotbed of progressive radio, even though Bob Dylan was born there. I listened to a lot of public radio, Arlo Guthrie type folk music, and my old Jackson Browne records. Didn't make enough money to buy a lot of records.

When I listened to music radio, it was the least offensive of the top 40 stations, Genesis, Mark Knopfler/Dire Straits, Police, Billy Joel and the like.
AH's: The End of The Innocence > Don Henley Heart
Margaux - at least you were still listening - I think the only place I heard any music for 6 or 7 years was in car on my way to "whatever" Sad

Seger - Bingo ! and I take it by the Heart that Mr. Henley is a favorite ?
When autumn comes, it doesnt ask.
It just walks in, where it left you last.
And you never know, when it starts
Until there's fog inside the glass around your summer heart:

[[color=#32CD32]b]I had a good four years in MI where the only music I heard was toddler stuff from Gymboree or Barney or The Wiggles confused and the songs were played and sung over and over and over again. One day when the girls were 1 and 3 I was so sick of Barney, I put on ABBA's Greatest Hits (loudly) when they were playing dress-up and they started dancing around the coffee table like mad women...I have it on video!
It's been about 3 years since I dove back into MY music fully and daily! Grin[/b]

Yes, I loved The Eagles many moons ago and have always loved DH either with the band or solo!

New One

We can never know about the days to come
But we think about them anyway.
And I wonder if I'm really with you now
Or just chasing after some finner day.
Anticipation -- by Carly Simon

Since I'm at work I can't look up lyrics, so the next poster can go for it.

Good Job .Here they are

We can never know about the days to come
But we think about them anyway
And I wonder if I'm really with you now
Or just chasing after some finer day.

Anticipation, Anticipation
Is making me late
Is keeping me waiting

And I tell you how easy it is to be with you
And how right your arms feel around me.
But I rehearsed those words just late last night
When I was thinking about how right tonight might be.

Anticipation, Anticipation
Is making me late
Is keeping me waiting

And tomorrow we might not be together
I'm no prophet, I don't know natures way
So I'll try to see into your eyes right now
And stay right here, 'cause these are the good old days.

and thank you Lisa, but what I meant;

As the last poster to guess, I'm supposed to post lyrics to a new song.
Can't do that right now.

Have at it.
