Anger he smiles, towering in shiny metallic purple armour
Queen jealousy, envy waits behind him
Her fiery green gown sneers at the grassy ground
This was Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix or John Mayer
I looked up Grace Potter and The Nocturnals. Do they sing this?
Baloney was good enough for my father, good enough for my mother
That baloney saved me and my brother
Harlem/Cold Baloney -- Bill Withers

I dont have to fear it
I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
I dont have to fear it
I want to rock your gypsy soul
Just like way back in the days of old
Into the Mystic - Van Morrison (finally one I knew without googling!)
(one of my current favorite artists)
It's a long trip alone
Over sand and stone
That lie along the road
That we all must travel down.
Perhaps we should set a rule that Google is not allowed! You must know it from the recesses of your own brain or ask someone in your household if you are a bit stuck.
What do you think???

Googleing is cheating in the world of Name That Tune.

Mastermind

RE: Google and rules
My own personal rule is I have to have some idea of what I think it is and then let myself check.
Guess I think each person should do whatever lets them have fun playing.
[Would like to be in the embedding friendly section though.]

Can't play right now - Have to go be grammy - back later
Here are two more from back in the day (
my day

):
I couldn't have done so many things baby
If I could only stop my mind
From wondering what I left behind...
Swimming in the big lake, taking it easy
Taking any comfort we could find.
Didn't need the real truth
Didn't need the meaning
Straight ahead ignoring every sign.
Brave Strangers Bob Seger
I've been talking drunken gibberish
I've falling in and out the bars
Trying to get some explanation here
For the way some people are
How did it ever come so far
Good job Liz....that's the second one I posted!
Anyone figure out my first one??
Anyone venturing a guess on mine?
SH & Amy - - sorry - nothing is clicking - want to add more ? a chorus hook maybe ?
Liz - - You have mentioned your song before and it got put on a playlist.
Sail Away - by David Gray

Hot damn you should have felt the groove
Like I was swimming in a sea of soul
The sun was rising and the day was hot
And we was all about to lose control
