I'm going to throw some lyrics out because I'm never going to guess these songs...

Something from my generation (80s) Smile

Hollywood can be so lonely
Or make you the winner of a losing fight
The party is never over
Cause the stars are always shining
Doesn't matter if it's day or night
Fear

This thread is more proof that I don't know the lyrics to anything. Except "Louie, Louie". I know every word to that one. Haha

Heart Marc Broussard - Home
Everyone LOVES that song but I can name many more of Marc's songs that I like MUCH more than Home.

Another two to guess:

I think about it from time to time
When I'm lonely and on my own.
I try to forget and yet
Still rush to the telelphone.
I'm waiting in line
But would you say if I was wasting my time?

Like a lot of his songs - - just figured Home was the best known

This one of yours - - ???? no idea ????

But

Quote:
Lovers keep on lovin'
Believers keep on believin'
Sleepers just stop sleeping
Cause it won't be too long.
I'm so glad that they let me try it again
Cause my last time I lived I learned a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then.

Higher Ground - - Stevie Wonder

New song - - -

I saw her today at a reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she would meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man

I KNOW THIS ONE!!! Woohoo

You can't always get what you want - Rolling Stones

How I hate to see you like this
There is no way you can deny it
I can see that you're oh so sad, so quiet

Ah - - but do you know the ones they insist are the real lyrics ?

Or do you know the "good ones" Smile

Could just keep listing some of his work like Peace Train, Wild World, Moonshadow, for some favorites -
and there is even a Taylor connection for you all - Cat wrote The First Cut Is the Deepest

Love Cat Stevens. And you reminded me of something I've been meaning to post for a while. I was listening to Pandora one Sunday and the Cat Stevens version of The First Cut is the Deepest came on. I had never heard his version, even though I knew he wrote it. I stopped what I was doing to listen to the song. In his book, Taylor mentioned that his first song, In Your Time, sounded very, very similar to a Cat Stevens song that was his favorite at the time. I think that's the song. Call me crazy!

From a town known as Oyster Bay, Long Island
Rode a boy with a six-pack in his hand
And his daring life of crime
Made him a legend in his time
East and west of the Rio Grande
I thought someone would guess mine....Margaux amybe? AH is right about Stevie Wonder.
The first one was Phil Collins Missed Again!

Billy The Kid -- Billy Joel Heart LOVE LOVE LOVE Billy Joel

It's morning
I wake up
The taste of summer sweetness on my mind
It's a clear day
In this city
Let's go dance under the street lights
All the people in this world
Let's come together
More than ever
I can feel it
Can you feel it
