Finally! Was never a Brooke fan! She's wayyyy to emotional this girl crys at Everything! I don't think I can remember any song she's ever sang. She just in my ears can't sing. DH almost did a back flip off the couch...

DA has a pure young voice, I think if he can come out of his shell when he's alittle older he'd be great. I don't want him to win, I would feel bad for him! He's so shy and all the people in his face all the time I think would stress the poor kid out.

DC is good. I like that he does his own thing all the time, don't love all his songs and he does yell a bit at times but he's definately got talent. I don't want him to win either, seriously your better off coming in second and doing it yourself and distance yourself from AI all together.

Jason needs to go! He's just a snooze...................

Syesha has her good days and bad but she's got a decent voice most of the time. Song choices are her biggest problem.

Sorry Amy that your girl is gone, I know you really liked her, I just was never on board the Brooke train! Haha[/font]

Rotfl You crack me up Gina!! I got that image of your DH doing the flip off the couch!

Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, my DH wont watch and I even asked if he wanted me to DVR last night (he's a Neil Diamond fan)...he said he couldnt "take the mutilation". Hes not impressed with this year's talent...the only one he remotely liked was Michael Johns.

I shed many tears tonight. I don't think I even cried this hard when Taylor WON American Idol. I look forward to seeing her on the tour and hopefully putting out a CD full of music that she loves.

I havent cried over AI for a while and I was crying too, Amy. I knew she was going and so did she. Im waiting for her CD too...I love her and I know she will do great in her career...PLUS, she's got Carly Simon loving her! I will miss her...

Why, oh why, cant Archie leave?? God bless him, the boy can sing, but he doesnt do it for me!

DC is great...Im a fan...I also like Syeesha.

crying so sad about Brooke too - I missed the show, but my niece said it was really sad crying

I hope she gets a successful CD out there - I keep thinking back to how many GOOD CDs came out of season 5 - hope it happens again!

I know DC is probably the best, but he doesn't keep my interest - none of them do at this point. Ever since MJ left, the thrill is gone and now Brooke - she is the only female I have ever "supported" on the show. I will have to find her fansites too - I thought she was truly nice, and I LOVE her voice & style. Will she go back to her kiddos and be a nanny again?

Hugs coming out to you Amy.Huggy Think of the bright side of this she is way better off,she will do just fine you wait and see.Smile
In regards to David Cook and the group song last night...

First of all, I agree that it was pretty much a trainwreck from the start - - - but did you see him sort of take control during Cracklin' Rosie? I felt like I was watching an AI tour performance with the winner leading the pack. Grin Ooooh...and he sounded gooooood... Devil Knuckle biting goooood... Wink
OMG I forgot about my favorite part last nite. And I sooooo quote this loud and clear from Neil Diamond aka the WISE old veteran, been there done it,singer songwriter, need I list them anymore????????????Ryan "what advice would you would give these young singers" (may not be exact quote)"DON'T LISTEN TO SIMON".w00tbounce w00tbounce LOVED IT!!!!
I missed the finale, but have it recorded to watch tonight.
Was playing trivia in a local pub and watching the Red Sox win. Go Papi and Manny!

I will miss Brooke, but I think that some time to relax and be with her family before the stress of the tour will be good for her. I think she will combine a recording career with raising a family. She and her hot hunny will have some gorgeous kids. I can see her doing "kids music".

I will keep voting for Syesha out of a desire to stymie TPTB's favored David/David outcome.
I do want Cook to win in the end. He has enough of a self-concept and confidence that he will be true to himself and not be manipulated.

Like Laurie Berkner...she's a staple on Nick Jr. and Noggin. My 3 yr old loves her...in fact, so does my 7 and 10 yr old. She's got a bunch of catchy tunes that kids love!

Its funny when so much of your time is consumed by pre-school tv...the musicians that perform little videos are good and interesting enough for us parents too.

Remember Lisa Loeb? She had one hit in the early 90s, "Stay". She's doing "kids' music" too and has kid videos playing on Noggin.

I have no doubt that Brooke will do fine.

I'd have to agree with you Kim on that Laurie Berkner thing, I knew there was someone Brooke reminded me of and it's her! Smile She would be perfect doing kids songs folk style with her guitar. I bet she's be more comfortable singing in front of the kids too!

I mean how can you screw up "puff the magic dragon"! Haha
Good call re Brooke and kids' music-she would be a natural-could
just imagine beautiful lullabyes and peppy upbeat silly stuff from
her! I was really sad to see her go too-she added an element of
niceness to the season that was heartwarming Heart

I thought that was odd too how they had David C. out front and separate in the group sing. I like him a lot, but I think he's developing
more attitude each week.

Jason seemed really happy last night-very animated, etc. I can't help it, I love him Rotfl

Lisa, I loved the don't listen to Simon thing too-hope Taylor was
watching!Haha
