I'm looking forward to Neil Diamond week.
Neil has written a lot of great songs, and his share of drek.

I fear we'll have one of the girls singing "You Don't Bring Me Flowers". I'll need my barf bag handy.

Who should sing "Sweet Caroline"?

I'll miss Michael this week, I wanted him to sing "Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon", smouldering slow-burning rock ballad...

I'll hold my other thoughts for now.

His voice is amazing when recorded!

I like Neil Diamond just enough to say it will be a better week than the last few as far as guests/songs go.
I like I Am I Said, Sweet Caroline, and a few others.

I think this will be a great week! I'm a big fan of Neil
Diamond and I like most of his better known songs.

I hope we hear Shilo, Play Me, Cracklin' Rosie, etc.

Please give Jason Sweet Caroline!! He really needs an upbeat crowd pleaser along about now!

I hate You Don't Bring Me Flowers, but I'm guessing Syesha ends up
with it. Not really into hearing Song Sung Blue either

I agree with your choices...my two favorite ND songs..."Longfellow Serenade" and "Summer Love" from the Jazz Singer. Also love his "Come to America" and of course The Monkees classic..."I'M a believer." Dont forget the early stuff like Cherry. I had an 8-track of ND's that I played to shreads...it had the You Dont Bring Me Flowers duet...and a few songs that I adored. He did a nifty version of "Flight of the Bumble Bee" on it...and his version of "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys...OT why on earth has AI not done a Beach Boys week??? cant get more American that the Surfi'n sounds.

I like Neils stuff too, the old ones that you mentioned Liz.

After reading all your suggestions, I guess I know more Neil Diamond songs than I realized.

But I'm not knowledgable enough to suggest a ND song for these contestants. I just wish them the best and hope they turn out some good stuff.

Barbie: My guess as to why no Beach Boys is they can't agree on anything long enough to give permission. And then they'd fight over who gets to be the mentor. Pity. Brian was at the AI5 finale (I like to think because he wanted to see Taylor win!) and I had hopes for a BB week the next year. Oh well, that group wasn't deserving of those songs anyway!
