anybodt have an idea what the weather will be like??? I know for you Northerners it will be like spring...but those of us from the 80 degree world. I am soooo excited....BTW there is a Greek Restaurant not too far from the hotel...Ouzo anyone??? OPA!!!

I love planning trips, but alas, won't be going this time. I am so glad I made the trips down in the past. See as much of the city as you can. It is really a lovely city !

Coder, so glad you're going and we'll get to meet you. It's
coming up fast! Candy and Claudia sound like they're having fun in
B'ham! This will be a huge adventure-haven't been anywhere new in
quite awhile.

I'll be so glad to finally lay eyes on you all. What fun we will have. I'll arrive in Birminghamn at 9:25 A.M. Friday, May 9th. From airport to Doubletree I hope in a flash.

Right now I'm planning my day at Churchhill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. I so hope I will see Taylor there. I'm not up on Millionaire's Row, which is four floors up from me, but hopefully he'll venture down to the Paddock. I'll be on Tay watch and if I can snap some pictures of him I'll be posting them probably Sunday morning. Wish me luck!

I just had to share my own little piece of exciting Birmingham news...

One of my best friends that I've made along this crazy little road I've taken (aka Taylor's career), Andrea, has decided to make the trip to Birmingham!!! She and I first had to opportunity to meet face to face in Myrtle Beach in March 2007. Because of a work function, she also was able to be at the Hampton Beach show - and then flew back to go to the Concord show and at the last minute we decided to drive to Staten Island together (which was a total trip - literally!). She is flying down from Wisconsin and I haven't seen her since last August so I'm very, very excited!!! It's going to be so much fun!!!
