Look, if Hannah's House is okay with this and Harmony is okay with it, can't everyone just get along? It all for CHARITY and you know, celebrities do events all the time to promote their causes. The convention is for charity, right? So is Hannah's House. Just go, have a great time, take many pics for everyone who can't be there and make Taylor proud of his Soul Patrol the same way HE HAS MADE US PROUD!
I would hate to see this weekend put a huge black mark on SP's charitable rep.

I think it's cool that because of the way Taylor is, the SP rallies and
supports good causes. I'm sure there are fans of other musicians
that charity doesn't even come into the picture. It reflects on Taylor
in a positive way that he supports these efforts

You go girl! I have been holding of saying anything about this as I know my mouth can get me into trouble but after my morning coffee..
That's what we (NESP) is all about. Charity and supporting music and Taylor. As far as I'm concerned we should come together as a fan base and all work to better Taylor not fight about stupid things like who knows about a BBQ first and crap like that. If you don't like the way the convention is going down that's fine just don't go. After all Rome wasn't built in a day, we're all new to this stuff and are bound to make mistakes, as long as we learn from them it's cool.
Fighting amongst our self is going to lead to one thing! Hurting Taylor! and I think he's going to need our support more than ever when his new album comes out.

I keep hoping that this fandom will get its act together and start acting like adults. Sadly, I need to keep hoping because it's not happening. The SP never ceases to amaze me in its ability to turn everything into drama. People, it really needs to stop. Have people lost the ability to have personal conversations with the people they have issues with? Does everything have to be handled in a public forum? Just because you have the forum, does not mean you have to use it for every issue you have. Hell, I run this site and you don't see me spewing my opinions and complaints here. Well, I am now, but ya'll asked for it.
Bottom line - all of this negativity DOES hurt Taylor. Can you all please keep that in mind before you choose to air your grevances publicly.

Amen! And I'd also like to add that while some boards are members-only, this one is very much public and frequently cached by major search engines. Anyone can see this, and anything deleted from our archives can still be found in the Google archives. Please try to be mature; if not for the sake of your own reputation, then for Taylor's.
