Don't worry Andrea I love Little David too!

And Castro has got to go! I'm not sure how he made it this far but last night he was the nail in the coffin! He's just aweful! He has no range what so ever in his voice. He looked like a 5 year old last night getting yelled at by his parents that was like "nah nah nah nah nah"... Rotfl

He certainly hasn't gotten this far on talent.

David C was good, Baba O'Riley was better than Duran Duran but nothing wow about them, I like when he mixes them up a bit to be more his own.

Syesha wasn't too bad.

CASTRO don't let the door hit ya! Haha
Once again, with all the possible songs for them to choose we get what we did. confused Not that they were all bad choices.

David C. - Hungry Like a Wolf confused Okay version. I too thought he nailed Baba O'Reily. I know the judges didn't exactly agree. I see a little tired showing up in David C. right about now. I know he's safe, but he really needs to put it all out there next week.

David A. - Good song choices, solid performances, but *yawn*

Syesha - Thought Proud Mary was good, but not really the song for her. I really did not like A Change is Gonna Come. I am a purist when it comes to that song. Its simplicity is one of the things that gets me when I hear it. Simple was not the word to describe what she did. Cassie sat on the couch saying "No, no, no."

Jason - Well, I think the dreadlock boy is done. At least he should be. And you know what, I think he wants to be done. I know his attitude has always seemed to be "whatver." But last night I got the impression he was ready to go home. I do like him and I agree AH, there is more there than meets the eye. Will anyone in the record industry know what to do with him? Not sure. Maybe he needs to be introduced to Jack Johnson!
I'll give Jason props for shaking the dreads around on the first number....he actually moved a little! That was different. Overall he's a one trick pony and he makes me laugh with his laid back/beach dude/peaceful hippie thing.
I'd like to hear him perform a short set in a beach bar sometime but that's as far as it goes for me.

Little David
is not a fun and exciting performer to WATCH....I agree.
It's his VOICE that I love and I disagree about the vocal runs...
I don't like it when a singer tries too many runs but I
think David's are right on.
I haven't been an Archie fan for most of the competition, but I will give him props for "Stand By Me". It's an R+B classic, so there should be some "soul" improv and runs, I don't think he overdid it last night. His voice sounded as good as I've heard it all season. Apparently folks on the Boogie heard a "tag" of "Beautiful Girls", a current hit by Sean Kingston.

If his recordings are more in the vein of Elliott Yamin's R+B-style pop, than as a Clay Aiken wanna be, he might do okay. Otherwise, Taylor may be right, he's a young Wayne Newton.

I'm still hoping for a Cook/Syesha finale.

Oh thanks for another taste of Cookie, he tastes better the second time around! Devil Thanks for all the treats, very nice of you!

It sounds like everyone is more than ready to say goodbye to Jason, I have to agree that it seemed a little deliberate when he forgot the words. I do believe Jason is also ready to be DONE with this whole contest. I will miss those blue eyes! Roll Eyes I can't wait to see him live when he is just himself not trying too hard to be something he isn't. I always liked his vibe and did I mention those blue eyes? Haha

If this whole show is indeed staged and if the judges comments are pre-determined, it would seem they want it to be a David vs. David finale. Which would make sense, unless it's only a coincidence that a girl wins, then a guy wins, then a girl wins etc.

David A. has a great voice but also bores me to tears. On the other hand, Sayesha has a good voice but is WAY too over the top for me. She will do great on Broadway.

David Cook is and has been clearly the winner for me. He hasn't always blown me away but when he goes for it, he absolutely SLAYS me. He seems so genuine and he is also a GREAT performer. I loved when he did "All I Need Is You" by Neil Diamond. smog Why can't we have the studio version of that? Argh Last night I was very happy with Baba O'Reily. I can't wait to buy his album, it will be incredible. w00t

How it all plays out will be interesting. Obviously Jason has A LOT
of fans. So, where will their votes go next if he goes???

Good point, I'm guessing to someone named David. Haha It will be interesting to see how it ends, there are all obviously talented and will get the recognition they have been craving for so long. This season was better than I thought, I found three people I'm interested in that I definately wouldn't have heard of otherwise. Grin

I guess it's safe to say that no one was surprised by the outcome.

Jason has a great carefree personality - I just hope he finds someone that knows the business to take care of him properly. I almost have the feeling he could be taken advantage of quite easily.
In case anyone missed it, here's my vote for the winner of AI7 - "500 Great Rock Songs"

Wow, they both really left way too early!! This is awesome~and I like both numbers VERY much. Great choices and excellent performance!!
