Thanks for that Margaux!

Never my absolute faves but I really like them both and Michael is looking GREAT! Grin
Had missed it thanks Margaux I loved it.Nice mix together, did that make sense?Grin[/i]

Hated to see Jason leave but I think he wanted out and he made me laugh with his comment of "Ya I broke the Tambourine Man" he will be a treat on the tour I'm sure.
Y'know, they don't do much for me separately, but together I really like them. Huh. Not Captain and Tenille, though, more like Marvin and Tammy. But white and international. Haha If this is considered a rehearsal for the tour, I may actually go now.

Thanks, Margaux!

Wow, they both really left way too early!! This is awesome~and I like both numbers VERY much. Great choices and excellent performance!!

So true, so true. I'd love it if these two toured together.

In case anyone missed it, here's my vote for the winner of AI7 - "500 Great Rock Songs"

Definitely my vote too !! They sounded great together, but then anything Michael sings I love Heat

Coming into this now makes for an interesting perspective - other than Carly I know almost nothing about their backstories or what the judges have said before and I find I like that a lot. The first time I saw AI was when a friend convinced me I had to see Bo Bice and I came in at about the same point then too.

Michael & Carley definitely sound good together - may have to go Tubing for him.

Jason has a great carefree personality - I just hope he finds someone that knows the business to take care of him properly.

Tend to think Jason is tougher and more savy than he appears - - but do have a suggestion for a mentor.

Was listening tonight to a modern folk singer/songwriter who has been credited with creating a sound that made a major contribution
to the 1990's resurgence of folk music - and it occured to me that Ellis Paul's style is perfect for Jason.

Here's a sample.

Will upload some more of his work [takes a while] and do a thread on him but the name may already ring a bell with Seger and Lisa.

RE: Ellis Paul -- Just the guitar in the intro makes me think of Lisa Loeb and to some degree Sheryl Crowe... and somebody else that I can't put my finger on just yet. Reminds me quite a bit of the women artists that were popular when I was in high school though. (The guys were all trying to re-create Nirvana, I guess!) Oh, David Gray, although he's more piano-based. So EP created this sound?

I am not familiar with Ellis Paul but man I LOVED that! I'm looking forward to your thread on him! You are right, his style is perfect for Jason.

Jason was on Ryan's radio show and said "it would be nice to have a little break", if you listen to the whole thing, I definately got the impression he was ready to go in his mind. I think I can post a link to the interview here. I never saw him as the winner but I'm glad he made it as far as he did. I recall in the beginning, he couldn't even give an interview. So I am sure his confidence will come in time, he is so young. I can't wait to hear more from him though!

Caught something last night where they showed a clip of Jason from Tuesday night after his performance. They were focusing on the fact that it looked liked he mouthed the words "don't vote" when Ryan was giving the numbers to call.

He's saying that he didn't. You decide. I think it's somewhere around the 1:30 mark.

YES! Remember I asked you about him? He was in my class at BC and his real name is Paul Plissey! He was a track star in HS in PI....his GF was my BF's roomie freshman year (he an GF had track scholarships to BC I think). He sounds really great. If I ever saw him perform I would go up to him and introduce myself and see if through the cobwebs he remembers me. I may have to look up more of his stuff when i have time. Smile

There is something about Jason I really like....a winning smile, piercing blue eyes and his goofy goober way. I usually do not like guys who are so laid back and have a hard time expressing themselves with words but I really dug Jason.
