Thank you for sharing the pics.....cool exhibit and fun stories!

P.S. I have learned my lesson a while back and whenever I go to a concert or anywhere with my camera, I bring at least one set of fresh spare batteries.
Great pics, but where's the red-eye Taylor pic?

Was really fun meeting you all. The NESP rocks!
I'll post the red-eye Taylor pic later. I've got to compose my thoughts that go before the photo. It's an amusing story. Well at least I found it amusing... Wink

I know you guys forgot that I had more photos to post...but I didn't!!! Grin

There's nothing too exciting to post here. I took exactly ONE photo of our favorite guy while he was performing at Ona's.

But the story leading up to it was rather humorous.

Andrea and I had a very difficult time deciding what we wanted to do after we left the BBQ. Did we want to go to the Metro Bistro and hear Erin Mitchell with LiMBO or did we want to hang at Ona's and hear Spoonful James? Rough choices, right? We decided that we would go to the Bistro because we had left Sloss Furnaces before we had a chance to really hear LiMBO and we had fallen in love with Erin's voice. We really wanted to hear them all together. I think the doorman at Ona's had a conspiracy going - give them incredibly horrible directions to the Bistro so they will just come back here. However, eventually, we figured out where we were supposed to be. LiMBO sounded incredible and Erin did an amazing version of "Take Another Little Piece of my Heart".

We did exit a little early. My feet were killing me, Andrea had an ultra early flight and she was hoping to catch a few zzzzs. I called Liz and let her know what we were doing (going back to the hotel) and were promised that we would be called if anything happened. As we were leaving the Bistro, flashes of lightening were to be seen all around us and the wind was starting to pick up. By the time we got back to the hotel, it was pouring rain. I turned on the TV in our hotel room to be greeted with weather forecasters and emergency warnings of tornados all around the city (but thankfully not directly overhead!). I then realized that I had left my cell phone in the car and I really needed that! Andrea got ready for bed and I ran down to the car - entering the elevator just as the tornado siren started whining. This was the first time I'd ever heard one and it took a moment for it to register with me what I was hearing. I started chanting "Just let me get to the lobby. Just let me get to the lobby." Thankfully I was in the elevator alone! Haha

Cellphone retrieved and made it back to the hotel room. Andrea had settled in and started drifting off to sleep. I was laid across the other bed with a rerun of "King of Queens" on the television and just starting to doze off when my cell phone rang.

"Oh Shit" I remember muttering...and see that it is MaryBeth calling.

"Andrea! It's MaryBeth!!!"

I answer the phone and MaryBeth is yelling "He's here! Tayor's in the building! Get yer asses down here!"

And then total chaos ensues. Luckily our hotel was not far from Ona's - but it was pouring rain and tornadoes were threatening.

Andrea and I are running around the hotel room like chickens with heads cut off. You've never seen 2 women move so fast in your life. Combs were flying, perfume was spraying, fastest change of clothes, etc, etc. We literally RAN down the hotel corridor and jumped into the elevator. I'm sure the front desk girl was wondering what the hell was going on! We flew out into the parking garage and made it to the car in record time. Hang a left out of the hotel driveway and headed down the street about a 1/2 mile. We managed to find a parking spot and ran up the street just in time to catch Taylor's 2nd song.

All of this occurred in about a 10 minute span.

All of this just to see this - - -

But man, was it totally worth it!!!

And, neither Andrea nor I got any sleep that night. Wink
Neat story Amy -

"Neither, wind, nor rain, nor tornados, nor sleep shall keep the SP from their appointed encounters" - - (with apologies to the mail carriers of the USPS Smile )
