To continue the off-topic discussion of the finale, on the drive home tonight I heard "I Had the Time of My Life", which you may recall was the Kat-Taylor duet at the Season 5 Finale.  And was pretty much a fiasco, IMO.. I even preferred the Kat-Meatloaf duet  

As we're coming up on a new finale, my first thought was What are they going to do for group numbers this year's finale?   While Jordin, Melinda and Lakisha could hold up their end, I don't see them pulling off the standard Idol cheesy duet with Blake, or any of the other male finalists (Lakisha-Sanjaya anyone?? )    They may just have to recruit Taylor!

I don't think anyone here would complain about that too much. I thought of the Tobacco Road performance today actually as I was FINALLY listening to the Columbus Ohio live recordings. It crossed my mind for some reason...I don't see anything that appealing coming out of this batch of singers...and I use that term loosely.

Should be an interesting evening all the way around...and exciting. Taylor will be relieved of his reigning duties. Yippee!!!

And then I saw the Dancing Queen video, and now I want Taylor to sing that as a duet with Jordin.. "Only 17!!!!"
