Mary Colurso is a colunist for the Birmingham News who has always supported the Birmingham Idol boys..
In her article today she reminisces about the Homecoming visits of Ruben, Bo and Taylor, and gives a nice plug to Harmony for the Soul:

Quote:
Still, we have our memories. We also have Harmony for the Soul.

"That's a weekend convention for Hicks fans, who've formed a nonprofit organization linked to the National Soul Patrol. They'll assemble here today and Saturday, raising money for Kid One Transport, one of the Gray-Haired Guy's favorite charities. Another beneficiary: the Alabama-Georgia chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A slew of events has been planned for Hicks' faithful, including a dinner, a music festival at Sloss Furnaces, an auction and a pub crawl.

Bear in mind: Mr. Soul Patrol isn't scheduled to make an appearance at the confab. However, his Birmingham band, the Little Memphis Blues Orchestra, will headline the Sloss fest. That's the next best thing for fans, who'll also hear acts such as Spoonful James and Clay Connor.

Tickets for Harmony for the Soul range from $8 to $133, and have been sold through the group's Web site.
