David Cook. He is so talented and he must be loving the female attention he's getting in spades now!
I just noticed he's a left handed strummer....never picked that up from TV.
I think it will be a very close race between the Davids....as close as Clay and Ruben were.
Thanks Margaux! That was GREAT! I am SO excited for him! I read that he got emotional on a radio interview due to the overwhelming support in his hometown AND that they flew his sick brother Adam home from the hospital for his homecoming! So cool!
Go David!

I was very impressed with Cook's interviews and appearances from yesterday. He's a very grounded and humble person who will not be shaken by TPTB if he wins.
Seger: In one of the interviews, the DJ was teasing David about appearances they used to do when the girls wouldn't give either one of them a second look. I loved his dark jacket and collarless shirt look yesterday.
THawks: I did hear that Adam was there, and that someone donated a limo for him to make the trip.
This is my pick for winner--I would buy his album.
Ive only purchased a few alums albums (other than TH's of course!)--Kelly's first one (which stunk!), Clay's first one, and looking forward to purchasing Bo's new album.
I just watched and am voting as I type this. Lines are pretty busy!
I hope it's a DA and DC finale. I thought Archie was amazing on "And So It Goes"....great song! Also was touched that they chose a Dan Fogelberg song for him but it wasn't a WOW.
David Cook was good but could have been better....I heard pitch problems on the second song. Loved the Roberta Flack first song!
It should be interesting!

Voting for the Cookster tonight.
I loved all 3 of his performances tonight. That Switchfoot song is a great song. They are a Christian rock band getting great radio play.
I thought the Aerosmith performance was perfect. It looked like a finale performance complete with the violins.
His first song? Made my

flutter.
Thanks for posting those Margaux - and agree on Hero
Really glad Neil Diamond was a mentor or would never have become aware of David - - or Jason.
Recorded the west coast feed and just finished watching it - even gritted my teeth and listened to the judges tonight for David C's performances.
Hate it when have to agree with Simon but David Cook did indeed own the night.
Hadn't really watched the other David before - prefer to just listen after get an initial visual.
Found him even less appealing when was watching him sing - - there's something oddly uncomfortable about him that I can't quite put my finger on - but don't care enough to waste time and energy figuring it out. He does have a nice voice - - so do a lot of people - - what he doesn't have - IMHO - is an interesting voice.
When I look at the list of artists I listen to most often it is pretty diverse, but the one thing they have in common is that they have attention grabbing voices - something that sets them apart from the pack.
David Cook has that kind of appeal too.
I actually watched last night, and I can't watch either David. They both resemble an ex-boyfriend that I have very, very nasty feelings toward to this day, Cook in his hair and eyes and Archie in his facial tics. So I did my best to not actually watch them and just listen.
I hated nearly every song choice. The only choice I didn't hate was Simon's, and then I didn't like what David C. did with it. I ranged from indifference to disgust over the night (disgust being that damn Diane Warren - not Aerosmith - song) and now I'm going back to my not-watching, not-caring mode.
The other thing that struck me is that none of the finalists are any good at being interviewed. Before they're released on the media in a few weeks, it'd be nice if someone gave them some PR training!
I didn't love any of the song choices last night.
No way a 17 year old should be singing "Longer" or "Or So It Goes". Both songs require a tenderness that David A just doesn't understand yet. AH, if you do a google search, you'll learn why he makes you uncomfortable. You're right, you're probably better off not knowing.
The Chris Brown song David A picked should have been better, it's the only current song anyone's done all year, it's a cute poppy R+B song. But it was a mess.
Syesha's choice of the jazz classic "Fever" was 50 years older than Archie's choice.. not too wise on her part. I had forgotten till I was cruising the boards later last night how well Paris Bennett had done that song in Season Five.
Cook's Switchfoot song was the best choice, except that I feel frustrated when we only get one verse of a song. They seem shorter than ever. At this stage in the game, can't we have 90 minutes and 2 1/2 minute songs? The show makes enough money for heaven's sake.
I absolutely hate "I Dont Wanna Miss a Thing". I said to Amy "Couldn't they have picked Walk This Way?" Now that would have rocked the house. But when I saw that Diane Warren was in the house I knew why this was picked. Between that, the pimp spot, and violins, do you have any doubt that Cook is now the anointed one? I'm trying to determine exactly when the switch was made from Archie.
"First Time" or ("Yo' Face") was the best song of the night. The slow build from quiet to power notes was just right, right time, right dynamics. I so hope that's the recorded song. I fear it will be Diane Warren... (tho I confess to a strange desire to have Cook recycle Places I've Been

)
